(1) At 8:30 AM, your guide and driver will pick you up at Shanghai Museum (People's Square Branch), or at 9:30 AM at Suzhou Railway Station, then transfer you to Lingering Garden(Liuyuan Garden) in Suzhou. The vehicle used will depend on the actual number of people.
(2) At 10:30 AM, you will arrive at and visit Lingering Garden(Liuyuan Garden).
Lingering Garden(Liuyuan Garden), one of the top four classical gardens in China, represents the pinnacle of Chinese garden art. Originally built in 1593 during the Ming Dynasty, it has a history of 432 years. The central area features a landscape dominated by water and hills, while the eastern section is surrounded by numerous architectural structures interconnected through lattice windows, arched doorways, and winding corridors.
(3) 12:00 PM You will arrive at Pingjiang Road, where you can experience a cruise and have lunch at your own expense.
Pingjiang Road, with a history of over 2,500 years, is a well-preserved historic and cultural district. One Pingjiang Road tells half the history of Suzhou. The district features parallel waterways and streets, where you can take a boat tour and enjoy local delicacies.
(4) At 2:00 PM, you will arrive and visit the Lanliyuan Silk Museum.
Suzhou Silk: Suzhou is known as the "Home of Silk," with a silk production history spanning over 4,000 years. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was recognized as China's silk center, supplying products for imperial use. Today, it remains a vital hub for the national silk industry.
(5) At 4:30 PM, you will arrive and visit Tongli Ancient Town. After 1.5 hours, the driver will take you back to your hotel in Shanghai or Suzhou Railway Station.
Tongli Ancient Town, with a history of over 1,000 years, is known as the "Venice of the East." It features 15 rivers and 49 stone bridges, showcasing a typical network-like water town layout.
