Reviews: Kuo-Kuang Bus 1819-Taipei to Taoyuan Airport Round Trip Ticket
Guest User2026-01-05
It was convenient and great to be able to quickly exchange tickets by showing a QR code at the airport bus terminal! The bus had good Wi-Fi and I could even recharge my card, which was great! It took about 50 minutes to get there and 40 minutes to get back, so taking the bus is the best way to get from the airport to downtown Taipei!
Reviews: Essential for Traveling in Taiwan | For non-Taiwanese nationals only | Taoyuan Airport MRT Round Trip Ticket&Taipei Metro 48/72 Hrs Pass

I only planned to travel within Taipei and would only be using the MRT, not venturing far. So I bought a 72-hour MRT pass, and I have to say it was incredibly worthwhile. It allows unlimited MRT rides, and even includes one round trip to Taoyuan MRT station. After calculating the costs, this pass is more cost-effective than buying anything else.
Reviews: [International travelers only] frequency rides | Taiwan High Speed Rail Pass | Flexible 2-day pass, 3-day pass | Must-buy for Taiwan self-guided tour(booking required one day in advance)

It’s super foreigner-friendly — the 3-day pass lets you hop around on the HSR pretty much as much as you want. Just a heads-up: plan your route properly, because time flies and it’s easy to miss the true “must-go” spots if you wing it. I used mine for a Tainan run and it was totally worth it — visited 林百貨 (Hayashi Department Store) and a bunch of other places around the city. Tainan has that chill, old-soul vibe: great food, slower pace, and so many photogenic streets to wander.
Reviews: Taiwan Pass: Must-buy Transportation Passes for Your Taiwan Trip | Taiwan Railways + MRT + Taiwan Travel
Guest User2025-12-26
The only time I downloaded and used the app was to get my pass at the first Taiwan Railway ticket counter and when using the MRT. There's not much you can do with the app, so I thought it would be better not to use it. I enjoyed using the Taiwan Railway for three days.
