High Gorges and Calm Lake Cruise (Sanxia Cruise)The Gaoxia Pinghu (High Gorge Flat Lake) is the most magnificent new view brought by the Three Gorges Dam project to the Yangtze River Three Gorges. The once turbulent river has been replaced by serene lake waters, revealing previously hidden scenic spots to visitors. Taking a cruise on Gaoxia Pinghu through Xiling Gorge, you'll pass by the Kongling Beach ruins, Niugan Mafei Gorge, and Bingshu Baojian Gorge, enjoying panoramic views of the Three Gorges' stunning landscapes. The cruise ship features a second-floor bar, tables, a small stage, and observation deck, while the third floor offers an open-air viewing platform. Lean on the railings to enjoy the breeze alone or with friends. As the boat sails upstream, you'll first admire the Three Gorges Dam's water-retaining face - a dragon-like structure spanning the river, offering a unique view unavailable through any other travel experience.

Qu Yuan's Hometown Cultural Tourism Zone is located in Zigui County, Yichang. Zigui County is the hometown of the great poet Qu Yuan from the Warring States period. Outside the east gate of the old Zigui County town (now submerged), there stood a tall memorial archway inscribed with the words "Qu Yuan's Hometown."

Today, the core attraction of the Quyuan Temple scenic area in Zigui is the relocated Quyuan Temple. The original temple was situated on a sandbank between Zigui and Xiangxi, traditionally believed to be the burial site of Qu Yuan's remains, later named "Quyuan Tuo." The temple was relocated twice during the construction of the Gezhouba Dam and the Three Gorges Dam. The current Quyuan Temple in the scenic area faces southeast, directly opposite the Three Gorges Dam, and consists of structures such as the mountain gate, stele corridor, front hall, music and dance tower, main hall, memorial hall, and Qu Yuan's tomb (a cenotaph).

Within the attraction, there are also scenic spots such as the Dragon Boat Museum, the Dragon Boat Festival Customs Hall, and the Gaoxia Pinghu Viewing Platform. Visitors can also explore the Sanxia Ancient Residential Area, which highlights ancient dwellings like Xintan Ancient Houses, Xiajiang Stone Carvings, and Xiajiang Ancient Bridges. The attraction has replicated some sites related to Qu Yuan's place of birth, such as Xiangluping, Zhaomian Well, and Three Cornfields. These sites are closely linked to Qu Yuan according to legends and preserve traces of his life from that era.

Hubei Three Gorges Resettlement Museum is located on the banks of the Yangtze River, serving as a significant cultural landmark documenting the monumental resettlement efforts of the Three Gorges Project. With the mission of "Preserving History, Passing on the Spirit," the museum systematically showcases the dedication and patriotic sentiments of millions of relocated residents through extensive physical exhibits, multimedia archives, and immersive scene reconstructions.

The permanent exhibition in the museum is divided into three major themes: "River Memories," "Journey of Migration," and "Stories of New Homelands." It showcases migrants' daily utensils, engineering documents, documentary footage, and more, vividly recreating the entire process of relocation, resettlement, and reconstruction. The building features a modern minimalist design, with its facade using layered and staggered lines to symbolize the rolling peaks of the Three Gorges landscape. Inside, lighting effects and multimedia technology create an immersive viewing experience.

The museum regularly holds public activities such as oral history lectures on immigration and local cultural exhibitions, carrying the important mission of promoting the spirit of immigration and preserving regional cultural heritage. It serves as a cultural bridge connecting historical memory with contemporary development.
