A one-day trip from within Chengdu's Third Ring Road to Mount Siguniang's Shuangqiao Valley and Maobiliang starts by taking the Chengguan Expressway, switching to the Duwen Expressway, and then heading straight to the Maobiliang Viewing Platform via China Panda Avenue. This spot offers an excellent vantage point for panoramic views of Mount Siguniang, where the four snow-capped peaks stretch across the horizon, perfect for capturing wide shots or close-ups of the mountains. Next, proceed to the Shuangqiao Valley scenic area and take the sightseeing bus directly to the final stop, Redwood Forest, where towering redwood trees stand in striking contrast against the snowy peaks. Descend along the boardwalk to visit attractions like Budala Peak, Sigunuo Lake, and Longzhu Lake, immersing yourself in the diverse landscapes of snow-capped mountains, meadows, and forests. If energy permits, try rafting at Nianyu Dam while admiring the glacial streams and canyon scenery along the way. On the return trip, stop by the Maobiliang Viewing Platform again to witness the golden sunlight bathing the snow peaks—a picturesque scene. It is recommended to bring warm clothing, sun protection, and oxygen canisters for the journey. Light meals are available for purchase in the scenic area, or you can bring your own snacks.
