The guided tour with Alex to Balmoral Estate and Royal Deeside was very nice. ;-) Alex was such a nice guide, communicative and open to questions. We visited the Balmoral; however, it was closed at that time, so we also visited Castle Crathes instead, and a couple of other interesting places, for example, Ballater, where Queen Victoria also travelled through. The tour was well worth it. So, I can only recommend Alex and the tour, either (of course, a visit to Balmoral would make it all even a bit more exciting).★
