From Durban: Half Day Durban City Tour

Spend a half day discovering the diverse culture and history of Durban and visiting the city’s sights. This is the ideal introductory tour of Durban, which has been shaped by the early Colonial settlers, the indigenous Zulus and the Indians who arrived as indentured laborers in the 19th Century.

Our tour begins as we travel along the Golden Mile, the revitalised beachfront promenade which hugs the beckoning beaches of Durban, viewing the upgraded Point Waterfront. We travel through the city, passing the majestic City Hall with its humorous history! We continue to the small craft harbour, the 8th largest harbour in the world. Drive past the sugar terminals and very busy harbour warehouses on our way to the University of Natal – Durban Campus, with lovely sights of the harbour below. Then we visit the bustling African/Indian Markets at Warwick Triangle – home to 9 distinct markets developed around Durban’s largest public transport interchange and where approximately 6000 street vendors ply their trade, to an average of 460000 daily commuters – an authentic experience.
