Reviews: Visit in Cartagena Playa Blanca in Baru Island
Guest User2024-10-08
My reservation advisors and guides are Aisa, Daniel, and Miguel. They are very helpful in answering my questions about the tour beforehand. The pick-up at the hotel was smooth, but the rides to the island and back were very bumpy. Once we arrived at the beach club, the staff was very welcoming and nice. They also have the sickest music playlist. It’s relaxing and lovely to spend time at the beach club. After sunset, the plankton activity was really fun too.

Guide was amazing, I had a great time. Amazing views in each stop. Snorkeling was very fun as we got to see all the fishes.

This was a must do! Michael was the guide of our tour and he answered all questions kindly. For anything I was unsure of, he was always willing to help.

Franklin and the crew did a really great job of bringing good energy, answering questions and taking care of folks. The snorkeling was fun - we saw some iridescent fish. Bring sunscreen or wear a shirt! The UV exposure is intense.
Reviews: National Aviary and Playa Blanca Plankton Full-Day Tour
Guest User2026-01-05
The organization of the day was excellent, and the aviary was spectacular. Lunch at Mambo was delicious, the club facilities were lovely, and the beach was beautiful, but very crowded, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable. Then we were taken to another beach club for the plankton experience, and we spent a long time there doing nothing until the talk started. We felt they could have left us at Mambo until the activity actually began. The plankton was beautiful and impressive, and well worth it, but the return trip was also a rush to catch the buses. There were so many people returning at the same time, we didn't even have a moment to change, and we all returned to Cartagena soaking wet. That's the only thing they could improve, but overall, the activity was very enjoyable, and the guides were excellent.
Reviews: Full-Day Rosario Islands Including Barú, Cholon and Playa Blanca
Guest User2024-07-30
Angel was a fantastic guide who provided us with plenty of recommendations and tips throughout our trip, ensuring we wouldn't get scammed. First, everyone had to check in and choose their desired lunch. We didn't board the boat until 8:30-9 AM. Our group opted out of the fort tour due to the heat, but we passed by slowly to take pictures. Next, we went snorkeling, which was my favorite part. Afterward, we visited a calm beach, enjoyed a welcome drink, and swam for about an hour. Then, we headed to Cholon, the party island, where there were plenty of activities like jet skiing and tubing. Around 2:30 PM, we arrived at Barú for lunch, where the fried fish was excellent! We left for Cartagena around 3:30 PM. The waves were choppy on the way back, so be prepared for that, but the crew did an excellent job. Angel also gave us a few shots, and you can bring your own drinks if you don't want to spend money on the islands. Recommendations: The beaches are rocky, so bring water shoes, sunscreen, a towel, water, cash (islands can have a 15% upcharge), and snacks. Make sure to eat breakfast beforehand. There's a shop at the port with snacks and water equipment too. It was a great time, but it's very hot, so be prepared!
