Start your day with an unforgettable experience: a guided sunrise hike to the top of Morro Dois Irmãos, one of Rio de Janeiro's most stunning viewpoints. The trail begins in the Vidigal community, where you'll be met by Rodrigo Índio, a local guide and neighborhood resident who offers an authentic and safe perspective on favela culture.
We'll travel by mototaxi or local van (included) through the alleys of Vidigal to the trailhead at the top of the community. From there, we'll embark on a moderate hike of about 45 minutes along a trail surrounded by Atlantic Forest. This requires basic physical fitness, with stops to breathe, admire the view, and hear interesting facts about the area. Tennis shoes, a flashlight, light clothing, and water are recommended. At the top, you'll be rewarded with one of the city's most spectacular views: Leblon, Ipanema, Rocinha, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Christ the Redeemer, and Pedra da Gávea seen from a unique angle, illuminated by the first light of day.
Beyond the landscape, the experience is a cultural immersion—with stories, music, and connection with local life. Rodrigo Índio shares his knowledge of the community, its history, and his pride in showing Rio from the inside out.
This is more than a trail: it's a moment of peace, beauty, and learning in one of Brazil's most impressive landmarks. Ideal for those seeking nature, culture, and an unforgettable experience early in the morning.
