Reviews: Salento-Ocaso Farm Coffee Tour - English Tour

Alejandra was really good at explaining everything: I knew there was a lot of work behind the coffee, but I didn't imagine so much. I really enjoyed picking the coffee berries, and at the end we even got to taste some excellent coffee. A very interesting experience, highly recommended.

If you're looking for the perfect coffee tour, visiting cocora, and walking around salento, this is your lucky day because you've found the right business to make that dream vacation happen! Mafe is an extraordinary tour guide and Mauricio was earlier than expected to pick us up. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about wax palm trees and the story of the surrounding areas. The Luger's coffee farm is absolutely beautiful and it covers everything you need to know about coffee. All visited sites were magical and we didn't have to worry about anything just enjoyed the ride and the places they took us. This was a premium and worthy experience.

The tour was amazing! Julián our tour guide was very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Jairo, our driver was also increible. Both of them took us around the activities, giving us information about the places and little tips and fun facts about the region and Valle del Cocora. Their recommendations for places to eat and see in Armenia and other places were also great. The Coffee Farm experience was flawless, the place was amazing. 100/10 would recommend forever! We want to come back to explore the places we had left on our list.

Everything was amazing! Jonathan was a great guide at Ocaso for the coffee farm, took us through the entire process of making coffee, was very knowledgeable. Pedro also really took care of us, he was very fun and respectful and kept the day fun! He took us to an amazing restaurant Maria ocampos in Salento and gave us a thorough tour of the city. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

We would 100% recommend the tour to anyone wishing to make the best out of Cocora Valley and a coffee farm tour in a single day. Yazmín, our guide for the day, picked us up at our accommodation in Salento at 8:30. We then drove approximately 20 minutes to the Luger Coffee Farm. The session on the farm started with a theoretical part wherein Lio (one of the guides at Luger) taught us the whole process of how coffee is made (from bean to cup). The theoretical session was then put into practice with harvesting our own coffee beans and living through the whole process of preparing the bean, drying, roasting it, and eventually making our own coffee. Lio was a well-spoken, knowledgeable, and authentic guide, answering all our questions and more. From the farm, we drove 30 minutes to the Cocora Valley, where we did the 4.5 km version of the hike. Yazmín told us a lot of interesting background about the place and the vegetation. The hike itself offers a wonderful view of the famous palm trees and the whole valley in general. Certain parts of the hike were quite crowded as this is "the" tourist spot in Salento. Nonetheless, the view was definitely worth it. Regarding physical effort, the walk was nothing special. Although it's uphill all the way, the paths are quite wide. The whole tour includes some coffee and local snacks but no lunch (which you know upfront). When the tour was over, Yazmín took us to a local restaurant in Salento for a late lunch (at our own cost). Thanks to Yazmín for taking care of us and showing us a great day in Salento and its surroundings.

Nice tour guide and great tour. The only thing which I wanted to point out is that it is pretty expensive. You can easily do this tour on your own for way less.
