Booking Instructions

• The name, country of residence, and passport number provided during booking must match the passport information presented when boarding.
• All passengers must prepare their travel documents (such as passport, ID card, and valid visa) before departure.

Travel Pass eligibility

• Child tickets can be purchased for children under 12 years old. (Children under 115 cm who do not require a seat may travel for free.)

Ticket & voucher eligibility

• This product is exclusively for non-Taiwanese travelers staying in Taiwan for short-term visits (less than 180 days) or visa-exempt entry (not applicable to non-Taiwanese individuals residing in Taiwan for reasons such as education or work).
• Passengers on Taiwan High Speed Rail must present a redemption code, passport, and valid recent entry documents for Taiwan (such as a visa, visa-exempt entry stamp, Exit & Entry Permit for Taiwan, China, etc.).
• Travelers holding both a Taiwan issued passport and a foreign passport must present their non-Taiwan passport along with valid entry documents for Taiwan (such as a visa, visa exemption stamp, or Exit & Entry Permit for Taiwan, China).

• Please note: Each child safety seat will count as 1 passenger.

Taiwan Railways

After booking

• Before your first ride on the Taiwan Railway, you must collect your Taiwan Railway Joint Pass voucher at the ticket counter of any Taiwan Railway station (Songshan Station, Taipei Station, Taoyuan Station, Taichung Station, Tainan Station, or Kaohsiung Station). Present your voucher number, original passport, and valid short-term entry ID, and use the manual ticket gate for entry and exit.
• To book Taiwan Railway tickets, you can only do so at the ticket counters as online booking is not available.

Important Notes

• Applicable trains: The Standard 5-Day Pass is valid for Chu-Kuang Express and Fu-Hsing Semi Express trains. The Premium 5-Day Pass is valid for Chu-Kuang Express, Fu-Hsing Semi Express, and Tze-Chiang Limited Express trains (non-reserved seating or reserved seating), as well as reserved seating on Taroko Express, Puyuma Express, and Tze-Chiang Limited Express 3000 series trains (excluding business class). Seat reservations are required for travel.
• Not applicable for: sightseeing trains, cruise-style trains, Tze-Chiang Limited Express 3000 (business class), and other TRA-designated trains

Other things to note

• Applicable seats: Standard car unreserved seats or reserved seats are available, business class seats are not applicable; When taking a reserved seat, you must complete the reservation before boarding at no additional cost. You can go to the high-speed rail station ticket window or make a reservation online by entering the official website and selecting "Order Management (Manage) > Enter the voucher number and passport number (Redeem Code)" to start the reservation.
• Validity period: The 3-day High-Speed Rail Pass allows unlimited rides for three consecutive days starting from the reserved travel date; the 2-day Pass allows unlimited rides on any two days within a designated seven-day period; the 5-day High-Speed Rail & Taiwan Railway Pass allows unlimited rides on Taiwan Railway designated trains plus two selected days of High-Speed Rail travel within a designated five-day period.
