Check in was prompt at the easy to find office. At boarding, the Skipper Jeff was friendly and welcoming, as were the other two crew members. We were welcomed with some wraps, nibbles and drinks before setting off. We were told we were free to wander anywhere on the boat and the crew never made you feel like you were in their way at all. Our stop on Low isle, via glass bottom tender, was great with a very informative guided snorkel and short tour round the island. We were lucky enough to meet and chat with the friendly caretakers of the island as they were setting up for a Bird count. The weather turned a little on our return to the boat making re-boarding a little difficult for some passengers. But the crew handled the situation with patience, expertise, and professionalism ensuring all passengers were re-boarded safely. The crew were attentive and helpful and made you feel right at home. All the views were stunning; the views on the way to the low isles, the reef itself, and the suns★

overall, the trip was nice especially the tour guide on that day. they just changed our itinerary to port douglas instead of Cape Tribulation because of the recent flooding at Daintree.★

We had THE BEST DAY on our Family Calypso Reef Snorkelling Cruise (from Port Douglas). The crew onboard Calypso Blue on Thursday 20/6/2024 were amazing, so professional and so friendly. They made us feel very welcomed and put those that were nervous at ease, re-assuring everyone that they are there to look after us. Food and snacks were nice and simple.
We chose to go with Calypso as it came highly recommended on the web (through reviews) plus a big draw card for us was that they only took a small group of people on board the tour at anyone time.
It was a whole day cruise, where we stopped at 3 different locations on the Great Barrier Reef to snorkel. It took about an hour to get to the reef. Each different stop on the reef was about an hour. It was so beautiful and so special for us as a family to finally experience the Great Barrier Reef. There were so many beautiful corals, so many colourful fish and in all shapes and sizes. The ocean was so clear too.
The staff on Calypso Blue were very knowledgeable and educated us on the reef and how we can do our part to help look after it.
We had the BEST DAY and will remember it for a long, long time. A big thank you to the crew on Calypso Blue for making it happen.★

Great day on the reef. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Shout out to Moni who was the best!! Buffet lunch was plentiful and had a wide verity of choices. Highly recommended
