Ammoudia: 13 km Kayaking Adventure in the Acheron River.

Get ready for a fun-filled day on one of Greece’s most magical rivers! We start our adventure at our base, where you’ll meet our friendly guides and your fellow paddlers. After a short, 15-minute ride in our minibus, we arrive at the starting point of the Acheron River—once known in ancient Greek mythology as the river that led to the underworld. But don’t worry—today, it’s a peaceful paradise full of natural beauty, not spooky spirits!

Before we hop into our kayaks, our certified instructor will guide everyone through a quick and easy training session (about 25 minutes), showing you how to paddle safely and what to expect on the river. We'll also practice a little on the water to get comfortable before we begin.

Then it’s time for the real adventure—a 14 km kayak journey that lasts about three and a half hours. As we paddle, we’ll wind through clear waters, gentle rapids, and lush green landscapes. You'll see spots so beautiful they feel like they’re straight out of a storybook—and they are! According to legend, even the ancient gods respected the mystery of the Acheron.

Midway through the trip, we’ll take a 10-minute break to rest, enjoy a light snack, and maybe dip our toes in the cool water. It's a great time to relax, chat, and enjoy the fresh air.

This tour is best suited for participants in good health who are ready for a little challenge and a lot of fun. While previous kayaking experience is helpful, it's not required—our team is always nearby to guide and assist you throughout the journey.
