The best part was not having to swap SIMs or deal with confusing eSIM profiles. I just popped it in at the airport, activated it, and my HK number worked in Macau too, both data and calls. No extra steps. That kind of seamless experience matters when you’re hopping borders for a short trip.Also, having the same number meant I could still receive verification SMS messages (which mattered when signing into apps or logging into accounts) - something many travel SIMs don’t support well.★

Overall, good experience. worked well in China
The only hiccup is the registration in HK. Somehow the ICCID number shown on the phone has 2 more digit/letter than the required information, and kept telling us the esim is invalid. But customer service is helpful.
Also, bear in mind that HK approval process is not immediate, mine took a bit more than an hour. So try to activate as soon as you arrive in HK.
