Reviews: Ring of Kerry Private Tour from Killarney
Guest User2025-09-29
Billy was our driver and he was legendary. The history received was only bested by the views and scenery. We had a proper tour with the skellig ring included. The views were incredible - the Kerry cliffs were our favorite. It’s a long day - but a great day!! Highly recommend the service and Billy the driver.
Reviews: Bus, Boat & Jaunting Cart Tour (Jaunting Cart Paid Separately)

This was a really fun excursion! From the meeting point, you are bussed out to where the jaunting carts congregate. The drivers are very organized, four people to a jaunting cart (cash only), so our party of two was paired with another couple.Liam and his dad were great guides; very entertaining:). Be warned that there is a portion of the ride where everyone gets out and walks up a couple of steep hills. I had a walking boot on at the time, so was able to stay in the cart, which made this a pretty good activity to get out and see a lot of things even with limited mobility. There is a nice restaurant (cash only) where are you take a break for a while before the boats take off back to Killarney. The boats are small, open boats, and you go across the lakes until you get back to town. Very scenic!
Reviews: Shore Excursion From Cork: Including Blarney Castle and Kinsale

On leaving the cruise port we were directed to the bright green Paddywagon bus just a minute or so walk from Cobh port entrance. Our driver / guide Kevin was an excellent host and looked after us well. One of the huge benefits of the early start was being the very first tour group at Blarney Castle so we were first through the gates and no waiting to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone. Doing that first thing gave us over two hours to explore the beautiful Blarney Castle grounds or wander to the Blarney Woollen Mill store. To be honest you could easily spend a whole day in the grounds of the castle, but a couple of hours was ample to explore and get photos. When we left there Kevin told us the wait to kiss the Blarney Stone was now over 2 hours! Kevin did well! We had plenty of time at Kinsale too, a delightful town with colourful buildings and a fine pint of Beamish to be had. The Tourist Office was helpful here, providing my wife and I with a map and suggesting a nice circular walk around the town. There was enough time to get lunch at Kinsale for those who wanted to sample the local delicacies. The final section of the day included a scenic drive through the city of Cork and then Kevin dropped us back at Cobh, giving us all the option of getting out near the cathedral or staying on to the part entrance. We got off in the town and took in a few sights before the short walk back to the port. Kevin treated us to a funny rendition of the Paddywagon song on the way back to Cork...he was a real laugh but did his job thoroughly, taking great delight in sharing stories of the local history and telling us about his interest with ancestry and genealogy of the area. Overall it was a wonderful day out and highly recommended.
