Our guide, Jim, was wonderful and knowledgeable about the plantation and its history. Each building on the property was well maintained and resembled historically accurate interior designs. After the main house tour, be sure to walk around the plantation and check out the other buildings to get a fuller understanding of everyone who lived onsite.

very relaxing and good music. we took the 2pm tour with food. didn't want to do the evening when people were drinking a lot. food was good and everyone was nice!

It was really nice to get out of the French quarter and see more of the city. It was nice to see the park and the lake. We only stopped once at the cafe du monde in the park, which was nice, but I was hoping to stop and get out a few more times for pictures. It was nice to have a small group and a personal guide though. At the end of the tour they will take you back to where they picked you up or drop you off wherever you want to go so they took us to Frenchmen street. Overall it was a good way to see the city and learn about the history of New Orleans.

We went on a tour of St. Louis Cemetery #1 with Alan, our tour guide. Really appreciated all of the history and expanations that he provided to us - especially how tombs work and are set up when a family member dies. Very informative. Really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend this event.


