Reviews: 1-day tour to Washington D.C. + United States Capitol [Round-trip from New York]

Our tour guide, Quentin, was incredibly enthusiastic and worked so hard! 🙏 He arrived at the designated location well in advance to pick us up, but worried we might not be awake or well-rested, so he didn't contact us beforehand, only calling at the agreed time to let us know he had arrived. Today's trip was a full 10 hours, and he really set off very early, not driving us back to New York until dark. It was an exceptionally tiring day. He introduced every point we passed along the way. In Washington, some attractions weren't included in the tour itinerary, but since we happened to pass by them on our way to the next attraction, the guide still provided explanations and information. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the trip. I originally wanted to rent a car and drive ourselves, but for various reasons, I gave up. Group tours are convenient and effortless; I don't have to think about anything. I would definitely join a group tour again if I have the opportunity. Thank you again to our tour guide; you worked so hard!

Our guide James knew every person in our small group almost immediately and personalized the experience for everyone. Tons of firsthand knowledge from experience as a Capitol guide and living in DC his whole life. Told stories to teach facts with background and context as well as witty asides. Our group had folks from AZ, NC, KS, MO, Iran, Austria and China! Just a great experience!!

Reviews: From Washington DC: Old Town Alexandria & Mount Vernon Tour

The tour today was excellent and surpassed all expectations. Our driver was Leah who expertly and efficiently drove us today and our tour guide was Brittany. She was an absolute fountain of knowledge of everything to do with George Washington, lots of stories and surprising facts that gave us all a great insight into the man behind the historical figure. She was informative, interesting, articulate and very funny. As well as visiting Mount Vernon, Leah drove us around the beautiful town of Alexandria and Brittany regaled us with funny historical tales about the town. I had a great time and I would thoroughly and unreservedly recommend this tour.
