We enjoyed painting! We loved the ceramics of Spain, especially all of the art deco ceramic work of history. Upon first glance of this activity, we thought we would be taught a class of historical significance regarding ceramics in Spain and make our own ceramic tiles based upon what we learned. However, I was mistaken. This was simply “Arts On Fire” as it’s known in the US. You pick your ceramic piece and paint it. No class or history involved. Also, you need at least three days in Sevilla because they need three days to put your creation in the kiln. We had to take our creation unfinished because we were leaving the area the next day. On the bright side, the staff were amazing. They were fun, helpful, kind and people you could easily become best friends with. It was a positive experience overall.

A magical experience: to say you know flamenco, you can't just see it; you have to put on a skirt and shawl and dance! Maria was a fantastic teacher, and in a short time she managed to convey her passion for dance and teach us the basic steps to perform a choreography that will forever remain one of our fondest memories of Seville!
