Fesdhoo is a private resort island developed by the W brand. It can be reached by a seaplane ride of about 25 minutes from Velana International Airport in Malé. The island is surrounded by a clear lagoon and features fine white sandy beaches and a rich marine environment; due to its prominent W logo, it is also often referred to by tourists as Fesdhoo. The house reef around the island is close to the shore, allowing you to observe marine life such as tropical fish and sea turtles while snorkeling, and if you are lucky, you might even encounter reef sharks. The beach is also a great spot to enjoy the ocean view in the early morning and at dusk. Unlike some resort islands that focus on quiet relaxation, this place incorporates the W brand's modern design and vibrant atmosphere, featuring music spaces and a variety of leisure experiences, making it suitable for couples and friends who enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. In terms of accommodation, the island offers beach villas and overwater villas, with some room types equipped with private pools and glass floors, allowing you to enjoy the ocean view beneath your feet. There is also a private sandbank, Gaathafushi, outside the island where special experiences such as picnics can be arranged; snorkeling, diving, and boat excursions can also be enjoyed in the surrounding waters. When choosing accommodation, guests who prefer a quiet environment can check the room location in advance to avoid room types near activity areas.Maldives · Fesdu

Moofushi is located in the Alif Dhaal Atoll, Maldives, and is a resort island under the Constance Hotels & Resorts group. The island is small, and you can walk around it in about 10 minutes. The architecture features natural wood tones, retaining a rustic, pristine atmosphere. One side of the island features an expansive blue lagoon, while the west side has a white sandbank stretching into the sea. The fine sand extends deep into the Indian Ocean, making it exceptionally photogenic. It is near the migration routes of marine life such as whale sharks and dolphins. There are many dive sites nearby with high water visibility, and snorkeling and scuba diving are the signature experiences on the island.Moofushi · 16.3 km from Fesdu
Kandholhudhoo

Kandholhudhoo

Kandholhudhoo is a pristine, untouched, and compact island, surrounded by wide sandy beaches and embraced by the Maldives' iconic lush green ocean. The resort focuses on offering guests an "island life" experience, rather than a standard hotel stay. It is small yet meticulously maintained, offering you an authentic, unspoiled Maldivian experience. Guests can walk around the island in less than 10 minutes and dive directly into some of the best coral reefs in the Maldives, teeming with coral and fish. You can choose to enjoy breakfast in bed or plan your own day; you can book an all-inclusive package or indulge in delicious food at the à la carte restaurants—this is the Kandolhu style, fulfilling all your dreams of a Maldives vacation. With only 30 rooms on the entire island, it is a niche destination with excellent privacy. Additionally, the starlit pools in the Kandholhudhoo water villas are a major highlight, changing into different colors. The island features four restaurants: a main restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a seafood restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, and a bar. The food is delicious. Just a few steps away is the beach, and a few more steps lead to the ocean, with its picturesque, varying shades of blue. You can see the excellent snorkeling environment just from the island's panoramic view. The room facilities are great, and because there are few rooms, the island is uncrowded, and the service is excellent. Some water villas feature fully transparent glass walls (in the bathroom, with glass surrounding the bathtub), which is quite romantic, and you don't need to worry about privacy because the panoramic view faces the open ocean.Kandolhu · 7.9 km from Fesdu

This holiday island is perfect for diving buddies, families, and friends to experience a leisurely lifestyle. There are nearly 100 dive sites, and the resort is bordered by a 750-meter-deep reef cliff with caves and abundant marine life. Very interesting. Elahoo Island is about 42 kilometers away from Male, the capital of Maldives. Elahoo Island, with all kinds of living and entertainment facilities, a simple and natural holiday atmosphere, and warm and hospitable services will make you feel at home. Elahu Island is a quiet and warm island. It only takes half an hour to walk around the island. Stepping on this simple and natural island, you will be greeted by the fresh breath of tropical trees, and your tired heart can be comforted instantly. On Elahu Island, the pristine coral reefs can be seen everywhere, and tropical fish swim freely among the coral reefs. The tranquility that belongs to you alone, does not love luxury, and advocates simplicity, Ailahu is very suitable for people who like and get close to nature. The combination of people and nature is ingenious. I don't know if nature contains people or people embellish nature. Everything is It seems so harmonious. In Elahu, you gain far more than a vacation, but more of a closeness to the soul and nature.Ellaidhoo · 15.4 km from Fesdu

Hulhumale is an artificial island formed by land reclamation. The island is adjacent to Velana International Airport and is connected to the airport island by road; it can also be reached from Malé via a cross-sea bridge, making it an urban island with convenient transportation in the Maldives. Construction of the island began in the late 1990s to alleviate population pressure in the capital, Malé, and it has now developed into a planned new city with residential, commercial, and public facilities. The island's coastal area is a popular spot for tourists, where artificial beaches, shallow waters, and near-shore coral reefs create a leisure space. Some areas are suitable for swimming and snorkeling, where you can observe marine life such as tropical fish and stingrays; there are also water sports facilities along the coast, where you can experience activities like kayaking, jet skiing, and kitesurfing. Beyond the beaches, the island also showcases an urban life that differs from traditional resort islands. Planned neighborhoods, green spaces, parks, restaurants, cafes, and accommodation facilities are distributed throughout, offering both everyday scenes of local life and leisure spaces for tourists. Visitors can stroll through the neighborhoods, experience local dining, or enjoy the sunset in the coastal area. Because it is close to the airport, many tourists use this place as a stopover before or after arriving in or departing from the Maldives.Hulhumale · 83.9 km from Fesdu

My stay at Constance Moofushi in the Maldives was nothing short of a dream come true. From the moment I arrived by seaplane to this tropical paradise, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The overwater bungalow I stayed in was like a piece of heaven on Earth, with direct access to the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. The resort's all-inclusive concept, which includes exquisite dining experiences, water sports, and wellness activities, added a level of convenience and luxury that's hard to beat. The coral reefs surrounding the island were a snorkeler's paradise, teeming with vibrant marine life. Constance Moofushi is a true oasis of serenity, where time seems to stand still, and you can simply relax, unwind, and connect with nature. If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Maldives, this is the place to be. It's a place where every moment feels like a postcard-worthy memory, and I can't wait to return.

It was my first time to Maldives and I felt the hospitality of Constance Halaveli Hotel. I would like to thank Awsam for his butler-like service. It was a great hotel and their service. I really want to go there again.

For most people this will be their first or last stop in The Maldives, as it is the island on which the airport is located. It is newly reclaimed land and being designed as a kind of "back-up" capital city in case neighboring Male succumbs to rising sea levels. As such, it is a bit of construction site as new hotels, apartments etc are going up all over the place. An okay beach for a quick dip, but gets a bit of floating trash. In any case, it is okay stopover for a night after arriving or before leaving the country.
