Rock of Gibraltar

Rock of Gibraltaris a massive limestone monolith, over 400m high, towering beside the Strait of Gibraltar and guarding the western entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. The northern end of the rock is near the border between Gibraltar and Spain. Most of the summit area is designated as a nature reserve, and the mountain contains a labyrinth of man-made tunnels. Saint Michael's Cave

Saint Michael's Cave is a network of limestone caves within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in Gibraltar, with its entrance located on the mountainside hundreds of meters above sea level, attracting tourists all year round. The cave extends about 60m deep. In the main hall, "Cathedral Cave," stalactites hang from the dome and stalagmites rise from the ground. Moorish Castle

Moorish Castle is located on the northern slope of the Rock of Gibraltar and is one of the oldest surviving Islamic military fortresses in Europe. It was originally built in the 8th century during the period when North African Moors ruled the Iberian Peninsula. This castle is one of the relics from the period of Moorish rule on the Iberian Peninsula, showcasing the architectural style and fortifications of that time. The castle was commissioned by the Moorish commander Tariq ibn Ziyad, and its core structures include the Tower of Homage, which was rebuilt in the 14th century, and the gatehouse. The Tower of Homage is about 30m high and built of limestone.
