Kalanapali Beach is an iconic attraction on Maui, boasting 5 kilometers of pristine white sand and crystal-clear waters, making it a popular destination for tourists. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling, swimming, fishing, surfing, and other activities. Of course, they can also relax in a comfortable beach chair. A famous attraction on the beach is the diving ceremony held on the Puu Kekaa (also known as Black Rock) cliffs on the north side of the beach. Fleming Beach Park is like a crescent moon on the northern coast of Maui. The waves here are large, especially in winter, and many experienced surfers come here to challenge themselves and show their skills. People surfing here have a high injury rate, so you must pay attention to safety when you come here to play in the water.Maui County · 898m from Kapalua

Maui is known as the "Valley Isle" due to its landscape of alternating valleys and coastlines. The island is warm year-round, and coastal areas are suitable for water activities in all seasons; however, if you plan to ascend to the summit of Haleakalā for sunrise in the early morning, the altitude is approx. 3,000 meters, and the temperature is significantly lower. The island's highlights are focused on natural scenery: the eastern Haleakalā National Park extends from the alpine zone to the coast, and the dormant volcanic crater at the summit, with its desolate, moon-like landscape, is a classic spot for watching the sunrise above the clouds; the Hana Hwy on the north coast winds between rainforests and sea cliffs, with sharp turns, one-lane bridges, waterfalls, and black sand beaches along the way—a self-drive trip here is like a rainforest adventure in itself. If you want to get in the water, you can take a boat to the crescent-shaped Molokini Crater not far offshore; this marine preserve has clear water and schools of tropical fish, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and diving. Kaanapali in the west and Wailea in the south are known for their long white sand beaches and resort atmosphere, which are perfect for sunbathing and surfing. There are also long-standing traditions to experience on the island: every day at sunset, a cliff-diving ceremony takes place at Black Rock at the north end of Kaanapali Beach, where divers light torches and leap into the sea—a scene many tourists wait specifically to see. Every winter, humpback whales return in groups to the warm waters around the island to breed and raise their young, and you have a chance to see them breaching from the shore or a whale-watching boat. If you want a change of pace, you can also visit the Iao Valley in the west, where the valley is lush and green, and the iconic Iao Needle rises abruptly, making it suitable for a relaxing short hike.Kula · 40.6 km from Kapalua

The Waihi Ridge Trail stretches 7.2 kilometers (4.5 miles) from the north side of Maui to the northwest hinterland, passing through alpine, prairie, and shady forested areas. The trail starts at about 300 meters above sea level and starts out among guava trees, looking out to the Pacific Ocean at the 0.75 mile signpost, then passes through a forest, and then has a view of the canyon, and you will climb to about 773 meters above sea level. The top of Lanilili has a wide view from the top. From the Kahekili Highway (aka Highway 340), turn into the trail and find Camp Maluhia, not far from the trail's start, which is marked by a "NaAlaHele" sign.Maui County · 14.1 km from Kapalua

To be honest, the Nakalele Blowhole is absolutely beautiful and quite special, but it is not suitable for all tourists. It is a long way to go, and there is a section of the road that is not easy to walk.

Fleming Beach is a place with a relatively long coastline. We only walked a small section of it. The beach is relatively large and the water quality is very good. It is very nice to take a walk and enjoy the sea view.

[Scenery] Kahekili Beach Park has rocky areas and coastal areas. There is also a very good experience, which is sea fishing, or going out to sea to enjoy the sea breeze! [Fun] It is fun to go to the sea, and the sea breeze is in the spring!

The sea around Maui was an unrealistically blue, with waves crashing against the rocks and splashing white foam. Wild pheasants swaggered across the road, and cars stopped to wait for them. The Hana Highway wound its way along the cliff edge, making my palms sweat, and I stopped seven or eight times to watch the waterfalls and rainbows. While snorkeling, I was startled to see a green sea turtle slowly sliding past me. At night, I could hear the waves from my cabin, and when I looked up, the sky was filled with stars, so dense it was almost frightening. Time moved at a leisurely pace; even the cats lay lazily by the roadside.
