The Thousand People Laundry in Mumbai was a municipal construction in Mumbai more than 100 years ago. Today, when washing machines have become popular, Indians still maintain the tradition of manual laundry, and the scene of thousands of people doing laundry at the same time has become a spectacle in Mumbai. Here, you can experience the real living conditions of the poor in India with your own eyes. From Mahalaxmi Railway Station, you can see more than 800 laundry pools and countless laundry workers. The sound of washing water and the beating of sticks is one after another, and colorful clothes and white sheets are covered. The whole area is impressive. Most of the laundry workers are humble Shudras who have been working as laundry workers for generations. The protagonist in the movie "Slumdog Millionaire" grew up here. After seeing this, and then looking at the adjacent high-rise buildings from a distance, there will be a strong contrast.Mumbai · 11.7 km from downtown

The Gateway of India in Mumbai faces the Arabian Sea and is a recognizable landmark in Mumbai. The architectural details combine Gujarati stone carvings with European triumphal arch elements. The plaque on the base records the list of soldiers killed in World War I, and the historical weight is obvious. There are fewer tourists in the early morning, which is suitable for taking panoramic photos. At low tide, you can see the unique landscape formed by the reflection of the arch and the coastline. No tickets are required at the entrance, but you need to go through security checks. There are often street performers performing in the surrounding area. It is recommended to prepare small cash to show support. It is within walking distance to Colaba Market, where you can buy handmade leather goods and traditional printed textiles. There is a ferry to the Elephanta Caves at the pier. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance. Be careful to avoid the peak of local family outings on Friday evening. The nearby Leopold Café offers special Indian milk tea, and the second-floor terrace is an ideal location for viewing the night view of the arch. Female tourists are advised to avoid traveling alone at night and keep their bags in front of them.Mumbai · 17.7 km from downtown

"Queen's Necklace" is the nickname of the famous Marine Drive in Mumbai, India. This 3.6-kilometer-long Marine Drive is in the shape of a "C", winding along the Arabian coastline, connecting Nariman Point in the south and Girgaon Chowpatty Beach in the north. When night falls, the lights on both sides of the street are like pearls in a string, and from a distance it looks like a string of dazzling necklaces, hence the name "Queen's Necklace". The Marine Drive was built in the 1920s and 1930s. Most of the buildings along the road are in Art Deco style, such as Kapoor Building, Zavier Building and Keval Building, showing Mumbai's architectural achievements in the colonial period. The Marine Drive is not only a paradise for architecture enthusiasts, but also a popular place for citizens and tourists to relax and have fun. Dhobi Ghat in Mumbai is a fascinating open-air laundromat where hundreds of washermen (dhobis) clean clothes in rows of concrete wash pens. A symbol of Mumbai’s hardworking spirit, it offers a unique glimpse into the city’s traditional laundry system. A must-visit for photographers and culture enthusiasts!

Beautiful florals and gorgeous lighting create a wonderful atmosphere. The temple is well arranged. The only thing missing is the mushak (maybe because it is a festival) the rest is good. Holy and pious, the whole process is very systematic so it is not troublesome even when it is very crowded, it is also very clean, people may need to be a little careful when buying flowers and items for worship as they want to cheat you subtly, negotiate the price beforehand, and also beware of pickpockets.

The seaside is still very spectacular. After passing the famous "Gate of India" in Mumbai, you will see the Indian Ocean. However, India is really dirty, with garbage everywhere on the ground. The sea water is not blue at all, like the Yellow River.

Kanheri Caves are located in the Gandhi National Park in Mumbai, in the north of Mumbai, a little far from the city. The park is also very large, suitable for a whole day of hiking, but we don’t have much time here, and hiking in India, haha… First take the train, then take a tuk-tuk to the entrance of the park, but it is still a long way from the caves. There are special charter services at the entrance, including round trips. The caves are still OK, but not as beautiful as Elephanta Island.

The Hanging Gardens, also known as the Hain Gardens, are located on top of the Malabar Hill in the wealthy area. Because the garden is located above a reservoir, it is called the Hanging Gardens. I came here not because of how beautiful the garden is, but because I was infected by the locals who came here. They are simple and happy.

This stone fountain dates back to the 1860s and is a vibrant Victorian fantasy based on the Roman goddess of flowers, Flora. It is made of an attractive yellow stone and features various mythological heroes and animals. At the time of our visit, the sidewalk around it was being repaired and the water was shut off. Once the restoration is complete, it may be more attractive.

India, Mumbai, Falavi slum, known as the world's largest slum, covers an area of 2 square kilometers, with 800,000 people living in it. It is also the place where Slumdog Millionaire happened. It is not that exaggerated in person, but it is indeed small, dirty and dilapidated! There are poor people all over the world, and they are concentrated in a tourist attraction. I hope everyone can become rich. We need to work together, both ourselves and the government!
