Zuiho Hall is a spiritual temple dedicated to Date Masamune, the lord of Sendai and the famous one-eyed dragon warrior. On July 10, Showa 20 (1945) at the end of the Pacific War, Sendai was severely damaged by the strategic bombing of the U.S. Air Force, and Zuiho Hall was also burned down in the Sendai air raid. At the same time, the Gansen Hall, where the second-generation lord Chungzong was enshrined, and the Sanyo Hall, where the third-generation lord Tsunazong was enshrined, were burned at the same time. The current Zuiho Hall was rebuilt in Showa 54 (1979). Before the construction, an excavation survey was carried out in the local area, and the remains and funerary objects of Date Masamune were discovered.Sendai · 9 km from Natori

This museum is very popular with children. Although it is called a museum, it is better to say that it is an Anpanman theme park. The first floor is a shopping area and the second floor is the main body of the museum. This glass-curtained building houses various houses and scenes from the Anpanman animation, as well as a theater for children to watch cartoons, and of course, dolls and peripheral goods can be seen everywhere. After shopping, why not go to the food street full of Anpanman image food and the jam grandpa bakery, where you can taste the unique edamame-flavored bread.Sendai · 10.3 km from Natori

Kotodai Park is located in Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai, right next to the Miyagi Prefectural Government Office and Sendai City Hall. The park's history dates back over a century, and its location was once part of the former Sendai Castle. This green space in the heart of the city is divided by a road into three distinct areas. The Relaxation Zone is shaded by trees and features a large circular flower bed and a wall fountain; the Activity Zone includes an outdoor concert hall and a civic plaza; and the History Zone preserves the remains of the Edo-period Sendai domain school, Yokendo, and the old prefectural government building. The park is also dotted with eight modern sculptures, including a bronze statue of the Sendai-born Yokozuna wrestler Tanikaze Kajinosuke. The paths in the park are lined with lush flowers and trees, offering different scenery throughout the four seasons.Kotodai Park is not only a place for residents to take daily walks and have picnics, but also the central venue for various festivals and events in Sendai.Sendai · 10.8 km from Natori

worth. Although every city has its own history, when I approached it, I didn’t expect that the first thing I saw was the sculpture of Lu Xun! Ha ha! If I remember correctly, the words next to the sculpture were written by Guo Moruo himself. Looking out from the museum, the light and shadows are beautiful. The castle ruins are located on a high point, overlooking the entire Sendai.

I got muscle pain lol There are 62 steps, in honor of Sendai's 620,000 koku, but it's quite a steep hill just to get there! However, parking is free if you show your visit ticket, which is very reasonable. It was nice to be able to see the statue of Date Masamune, which can only be seen once a year. I was also moved to see the graves of those who committed suicide or died following their lord nearby. I never get tired of looking at the beautiful colors and designs of the openwork carvings.

Yagiyama Zoo is also a very representative small place. There are quite a lot of things in the zoo, and the animal species are all very suitable for visiting. There are not many zoos in Japan, and you can also see many small animals here.
