The Cactus Garden
Located in the volcanic rock formations of Lanzarote, Jardin de Cactus was built by local artist Cesar Manrique from an abandoned quarry. The park features a radial terraced layout and is planted with cacti of various shapes. The low walls made of white volcanic stone form a visual contrast with the dark lava background. In the center, an 18th-century stone windmill is preserved, and its wooden blades can still turn with the wind. Cross the Puente de las Bolas, a small drawbridge with two cannonballs on top of its pillars and you will arrive on the Castillo de San Gabriel (Castle of Saint Gabriel), it is located on a tiny island called Islote de los Ingleses (Islet of the English).

Had a fantastic day at Aqua Park Lanzarote! The slides were great fun, there was plenty to do for both adults and children, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day. The park was clean, well-organised, and the queues were reasonable. A brilliant way to spend a day in Lanzarote and definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for some family fun and excitement. Would happily come back again!

The Timanfaya National Park is very interesting to see. Timanfaya is the only active volcano in Lanzarote. You can arrive by car there; but the visit (around 2,5 h) will be by bus (it is not free, but cheap), with a guide. The volcanic landscapes are amazing!
