Ruskotunturi – ski center and bike park

Located in the suburbs of Oulu in the Northern Ostrobothnia region of Finland, Ruskotunturi – ski center and bike park is a multifunctional outdoor activity area centered on winter sports. The ski resort is designed with gentle to medium slopes to provide adaptive venues for skiers and snowboarders of different levels, and is equipped with two special snow parks to meet the needs of skill training. Families can go to the independent children's activity area, which includes a small lift, a sled slide and a campfire rest space, and a rotating device to enhance the fun. The layout of the venue takes into account both safety and entertainment, and the wooden facilities and natural snow scenery form a coordinated visual system. In summer, it is transformed into a bike park, with various types of cycling routes set up based on the terrain characteristics, and the combination of forest paths and artificial obstacles to meet the needs of advanced training. As a complex venue operating in all seasons, its low-density development model retains the original style of the Nordic tundra and coniferous forest belt, becoming a transitional space connecting urban life and natural experience.
