Detian Transnational Waterfall Scenic Spot
The Detian Transnational Waterfall Scenic Spot is located on the upper reaches of the Guichun River along the China-Vietnam border in Guangxi. Here, the boundary river meets a cliff, cascading down in three tiers with a width of over 200 m and a drop of more than 70 m, facing Vietnam's Ban Gioc Waterfall across the cliff. During the rainy season, the two waterfalls nearly merge into one, and their roar can be heard across the valley. This site also served as a filming location for the TV series The Journey of Flower. We booked a suite with two bedrooms and one living room. Both rooms also had tatami beds with a view. It was no problem for 8 or 9 of us, including adults and children. It's a great place to escape the summer heat, swim, and climb mountains!

Detian Waterfall in Chongzuo, Guangxi, is the largest transnational waterfall in Asia, connected to the waterfall on the Vietnamese side. It's truly spectacular, with a thunderous roar when the water volume is high. A close-up tour on a bamboo raft is a breathtaking experience. Along the boardwalk, there are many other scenic spots and viewing platforms overlooking the waterfall.

The lake and mountains are beautiful and the scenery is pleasant. In January, large areas of plum blossoms are in full bloom on the hillside, which is pleasing to the eye. Cars can drive into the park.

There's a bathing beach near Dripstone Screen with fine, soft sand. There aren't many corals on the beach, and the sunset turns pink. Crocodile Mountain has stunning scenery, with crystal-clear seawater on sunny days. The area around the island bookstore is great for taking photos, and there's plenty of coral along the beach. It's all banana groves, with bananas hanging everywhere. It's not as scary as some people say; overall, 👍👍👍

1. I never went during my years studying in Nanning, but thanks to my son, I got to visit. It was tiring, but incredibly fun. A great place for families where kids can burn off energy while adults stay entertained.
2. It was during summer vacation, so it was quite crowded. The only regret was not getting a chance to take photos with the giant water lilies. My son keeps talking about it, saying he'll definitely go earlier next time to queue.
3. The best route is to take the sightseeing bus directly to the top of the mountain and then walk down, which is less tiring.

This 4A-level scenic spot is excellent value; if located in the Yangtze River Delta region, it would easily be a 5A-level attraction.
The scenery is beautiful, with clear waters and lush mountains, and it boasts distinct Zhuang ethnic characteristics.

I hiked from Shuiedi to Gongnong Bridge, a relatively short route that takes about 30-40 minutes. The scenery along the way was beautiful, with four drops. Luckily, I bought a disposable raincoat to cover my lower body, so my pants didn't get too wet, although my upper body and face were partially soaked.

First, find a guesthouse to stay in, then buy tickets online; buying a day in advance can get you a discount. Take a boat trip; there's a young female guide and a boatman to ferry you (all electric, of course). The young woman explains the scenery along the way; it's beautiful on a sunny day. The Fish Scale Dam in front is worth seeing; it's very photogenic. On the way back, walk slowly and leisurely to experience the Zhuang culture; it's quite nice.
