Ladang Tenusu Desa Cattle is located on the Mesilau Plateau at the foot of the sacred Mount Kinabalu. It is a dairy farming and processing base owned by a major local dairy company in Sabah, covering nearly 200 hectares. The plateau has a cool climate with rolling grassy slopes, where herds of Holstein cows graze leisurely. Clouds often drift among the mountains, and the scenery has a touch of New Zealand, which is why it is often called the "Little New Zealand" of Sabah. Most farm experiences revolve around the cows: you can feed calves with milk bottles, feed grass to sheep, and get up close to the farm animals. You can also watch the milking, processing, and packaging process through glass, learning about the journey of a glass of fresh milk from the farm to the table.Kundasang · 3.7 km from downtown

Low's Peak, located in the Kinabalu National Park, is the highest peak of the sacred mountain with an altitude of 4093 meters, and it is also the highest peak in Southeast Asia. It takes 1 to 2 days to climb from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, and then back to the foot of the mountain. Generally, it is necessary to book accommodation on the mountain one or two months in advance. It is also a beautiful place to watch the sunrise. Standing on the top of the mountain, waiting for a round of red sun to spray out from the clouds, the mountains and the sea have a panoramic view, which is very magnificent.Ranau · 19.6 km from downtown

Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, with a height of 4,093 meters, about 85 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu. Kinabalu National Park is a forest reserve covering an area of 754 square kilometers. From Kota Kinabalu, it takes about two hours to drive to the National Park's main office at an altitude of 1,558. Here, the temperature in a day can vary from 13 to 20 degrees Celsius. Not only is this national park a favorite destination for mountain climbers, it is also visited by many nature lovers, whose main purpose is to watch birds, butterflies and observe the unique flora and fauna here. Here are rare "insect-eating" plants, wild orchid (orchid) and the world's largest flower, Rafflesia, which blooms up to 45 cm diagonally. The flora and fauna of Kinabalu National Park is very diverse, ranging from lowland rainforests to temperate forest oaks to high mountain pine and cypress trees. The more common way to visit the national park is to climb Mount Kinabalu, or you can follow the forest trails around the main office of the national park for an exploration tour. It takes 2 to 3 days to climb from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, and then back to the foot of the mountain, depending on the climate at that time and the physical fitness of the climbers. There are several rest stops along the way. About 40 kilometers from the Kinabalu National Park office, there is a Poring Hot Spring, which is a good place to relieve fatigue after climbing the arduous and steep mountains.Kota Belud · 30.2 km from Ranau

Mount Kinabalu, highest mount in South East Asia. A good mountain for those who like challenges. Went there a few times with different group for friends.

Mount Kinabalu is very beautiful! It is the highest peak in Malaysia, with an altitude of 4095.2 meters. The whole journey is very shaky, but there is no dangerous terrain. It is only 8.5k from Timpohin to the top of the mountain, but the altitude rises to 2228.8 meters. There are rich ecological plants and magnificent mountain views along the way. It is really recommended!

On the flight from KK to Sandakan, I had a sighting of the summit of Mount Kinabalu from the left side of the plane. It was quite covered in cloud on that day though.
