Drosselgasse

Drosselgasse is a narrow, cobblestone alley in the old town of Rudesheim. Its history dates back to the 15th century. Originally a settlement for Rhein boatmen, it is now lined with old half-timbered taverns, restaurants, and souvenir shops, exuding a rich local charm. This alley is famous for its wine culture. Rudesheim is located in the Rheingau wine region, and Riesling white wine is the local specialty. Most taverns in the alley serve wine produced by local wineries. When night falls, many long-established taverns often feature live bands, with brass instruments and guitars taking turns, while visitors raise their glasses and chat, showcasing a lively nightlife atmosphere along the Rhein. Although the alley is not long, the scattered traditional buildings and the fragrant taverns complement each other. Strolling through it, you can taste authentic wine culture and experience the unique old town atmosphere of Rudesheim.

Loreley

The Lorelei is a 132m high rock on the east bank of the middle Rhine River. The Rhine River at the Lorelei rock is 25m deep but only 113m wide, making it a relatively deep and narrow section of the Rhine River. The area near the Lorelei rock is a relatively dangerous section of the Rhine River. A sandbar stands in the Rhine River, with the current on one side striking the rock standing in the river, while the current on the other side is quite gentle. These two currents of different speeds converge behind the sandbar, forming large whirlpools that have caused many passing ships to meet with disaster.

Deutsches Eck (German Corner)

Deutsches Eck (German Corner) is located in the German city of Koblenz, at the confluence of the Moselle and the Rhine River. A famous structure at Deutsches Eck (German Corner) is the equestrian statue of William I, which has a total height of 37 m, with the statue of the knight itself being 14 m high. In 1216, the Archbishop and Elector of Trier, Theoderich von Wied (approx. 1170–March 28, 1242), summoned the Teutonic Knights to Koblenz and, with the intention of protecting the local hospital, gifted them the local church and hospital. The Teutonic Knights established the "Deutschherrenhaus" (German: Deutschherrenhaus) on the territory at the mouth of the Moselle and Rhine River, serving as the Teutonic Knights' residence in Koblenz, and the territory at the river mouth thus became known as "Deutsches Eck (German Corner)". Deutsches Eck (German Corner) has attracted a large number of tourists since the day the equestrian statue of William I was built. The land where the equestrian statue of William I is located is suitable for various large-scale open-air events, frequently hosting concerts, open-air festivals, and fireworks displays on the Rhine River, and has also been the finish line for the annual Middle Rhine River Marathon since 2005.
