Samten Hills Dalat, a mystical retreat nestled high in the picturesque mountains of Don Duong, Vietnam, captivates visitors from around the world with its unique cultural and spiritual allure. Named after the Tibetan word "བསམ་གཏན་" (Samten), symbolizing stability and inner balance, this destination is an ideal sanctuary for those seeking tranquility and cultural discovery. Inspired by the mandala circle—representing a microcosm of the universe—Samten Hills' architecture seamlessly blends the inner and outer worlds, creating an enchanting space without beginning or end. Its Himalayan-influenced design exudes sacred grandeur in every detail. The centerpiece is the striking prayer wheel, Drikung Kagyu Rinchen Khorchen Khorwe Gyalpo, crafted from bronze and adorned with 24K gold. As a legacy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, it serves as a symbol of spreading Buddhist teachings while radiating happiness and peace. Visitors can rotate the wheel to connect with its profound spiritual energy. Beyond the prayer wheel, Samten Hills offers immersive cultural activities like guided meditation sessions led by experienced instructors, helping visitors achieve inner calm and renewal. Traditional practices such as lighting butter lamps and presenting ceremonial scarves (khata) further deepen guests' understanding of local heritage. In essence, Samten Hills Dalat harmonizes culture, spirituality, and breathtaking scenery into an unparalleled experience—whether for soul-searching travelers or culture enthusiasts, it promises an unforgettable journey.Don Duong · 13.8 km from Tan Hoi

Crazy House

Crazy House is one of Dalat's iconic landmarks. Its official identity is actually a uniquely shaped hotel, designed and built by a Vietnamese female architect who studied architecture and earned her doctorate in Moscow, and it was completed and opened in 1990. The entire complex mimics giant trees remaining in a forest and stands approx. 5 stories high, with almost no straight lines or right angles. The designer admitted that the inspiration came from Gaudí and the natural environment surrounding Dalat. Many visitors, upon seeing it, are reminded of Dalí's paintings or castles from Disney fairy tales. Stepping inside feels like falling into a massive, real-life fairy tale. When visiting, you can navigate between buildings by following the tree branch staircases suspended in mid-air, climbing all the way to the top to overlook Dalat. You can also duck into cave-like corridors to explore the animal-themed guest rooms one by one. The courtyard is scattered with cement-poured tree roots and burls that intertwine with real trees. Since its completion, the house has continued to be expanded, like a castle that is constantly growing.Dalat · 29 km from Tan Hoi

Da Lat Night Market is a vibrant market full of local character, attracting many tourists and local residents. The night market usually begins at dusk, and the streets gradually become lively, with a dazzling array of stalls offering a wide variety of goods and food. Food stalls are the highlight of the night market. Vietnamese grilled rice paper, grilled over charcoal, is especially popular in Dalat. Thin rice paper is topped with various ingredients and grilled until the edges are slightly crispy. Biting into it while hot fills your mouth with a savory, smoky flavor. Crowds of customers often gather in front of skewer stalls waiting for their food. There are stalls where you can grab and go, as well as those with tables and chairs where you can sit down and eat at a leisurely pace. Dalat's strawberries are famous, and dried strawberries, jams, and various candied fruits are common items. The merchandise stalls are just as lively: scarves and knit hats are hung in rows, while artichoke tea and flower stalls decorate the street with vibrant colors. The atmosphere of the night market is friendly and welcoming, making it an ideal place to experience Dalat's nightlife.Dalat · 30 km from Tan Hoi

Datanla Waterfall is one of the most popular attractions in Da Lat and a great place to experience the natural beauty of the area. 🌿💦 The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forest, creating a refreshing atmosphere away from the busy city centre. One of the highlights is the alpine coaster, which makes the visit more exciting and offers a fun way to travel through the forest. The waterfall itself is beautiful, although the area can get quite busy with visitors, especially during peak times. There are also several activities and facilities around the attraction, so you can easily spend a few hours exploring. Overall, Datanla is a fun combination of nature and adventure, and it is worth adding to a Da Lat itinerary if you want something more active than simply sightseeing around the city. 🇻🇳✨

Every morning and evening, Da Du Market is really a spectacular place. There are many people in the alleys. What's more, there are a lot of motorcycles shuttling. Vietnam is absolutely the most skilled country in motorcycle control in the world. Everything is sold in the market. Snacks, fruits, vegetables, flowers, dressings and other daily necessities should be supermarkets here. Tomorrow, I'm going to go shopping again. I'm listening to other tourists that I have bought a drip coffee pot, which is only 20,000. There are many snacks in the night market of Da Du Market. We must try chicken powder, which is delicious.
