The scenic area is free, but you are not allowed to drive in. You must take the scenic area battery car for 50 yuan/person, or scan the code to ride a bicycle. The battery car is not used by many people and is not running. In the end, I simply drove away. I followed the navigation and found that the lake was on the side of the road. I didn't have to spend money to take the scenic area battery car. The scenery is very good, but it is annoying that locals stop the car to sell fish and accommodation.

It's a quiet and comfortable place to stroll around, not too crowded, but it has a strong Tibetan Buddhist atmosphere. There are many lamas chanting sutras, and you can also burn incense and make offerings. The surrounding area is also lively, with plenty of food options.

Before setting off, I watched a CCTV documentary, which gave me a general overview of the Northern Wei Dynasty's history, making the grottoes much more interesting. The scenic area was well-managed; a few grottoes were too crowded, which made the experience less enjoyable, but that's just how it is—Yungang is definitely worth seeing. I'd love to come back again if I have the chance.
