Feitian Mountain Cuijiang Tourist Area consists of Feitianshan National Geopark, scenic areas on both sides of Cuijiang River, and Wayaoping Historical and Cultural District. Feitianshan,Internet celebrity check-in spots such as Mahuangqiu Grand Canyon, Shenxian Village, Tieding Village, and Kowloon Water Village are among them. Dongjiang River and Chenjiang River meet here, forming Cuijiang, which is famous in the south of the Yangtze River. Cuijiang is located in Feitianshan National Geopark, 25 kilometers away from the city. The entire Cuijiang water area starts from Tancuijiang Pier in Shimian in the north, Xujiadong Pier in the south, and Damianzhou Pier in Qiaokou Town in the east, running through 48 kilometers of Feitianshan National Geopark. There are various scenic spots covering an area of 1 square kilometers. On both sides of the Cuijiang River, there are many mountains and strange rocks. It enjoys the reputation of "Little Guilin". The hanging coffins of ancient Buddhas also interpret the moving legend. You can take a Cuijiang Cruise to experience the 6-kilometer waterway. Surrounded by clear water and red clouds, you can enjoy the picturesque scenery such as Lion Rock, carps playing in the water, thousand-year-old hanging coffins, Shenxian Village, and Iron Tripod Village. Feitianshan National Geopark is a typicalDanxia landform, lie inHunan ProvinceChenzhou CitySuxian DistrictWithin the territory, it is 18 kilometers away from the urban area and has a total area of 110 square kilometers. The entire scenic spot consists of 48 valleys, 9 villages, 4 temples, 3 temples, 2 rivers and 1 spring. It is characterized by Danyan Fortress and rare tunnels and caves. , hot springs and green rivers are the link, and the hanging coffins of stone Buddhas are the historical context. It integrates mountains, water, forests, caves, and Buddhas, and is majestic, strange, dangerous, beautiful, and clever. Wayaoping Historical and Cultural District has been a waterway transfer station connecting Hengyang and Changsha in the north and Shaoguan and Guangzhou in the south since the Han Dynasty. The dock has been prosperous for at least two thousand years and is known as "Little Nanjing". With the concept of "walking the old path of Xiake and tasting the clear water and Danxia", with the goal of protecting and rebuilding an "ancient cultural town and ancient commercial ferry", we adopt the idea of "repairing the old as the old and building the new as the old" to create a "ceramic culture" With "Gudu Culture" as its core, it is an immersive historical and cultural ancient village that integrates cultural experience, artistic creativity, education and research, fashion check-in, B&B vacation, food experience and other business formats. In the ancient street, there are "Millennium Fireworks, Chenzhou Twelve Squares" (rice square, pottery workshop, iron workshop, Jingui Silver Workshop, Guanlan Bookstore, Fucheng Yufang, Jujing Pharmacy, Linglong Teahouse, Mangzhou Twelve Workshops) with the folk custom characteristics of southern Hunan. There are immersive intangible cultural heritage towns such as Zuoyou Tea House, Queqiao Fairy Embroidery House, Wang's Tofu House, and Jiahe Pour Tank Wine House. On the riverside, there are 10 high-end characteristic B&Bs integrated into the landscape, and 1 reception center. Accommodating hundreds of people. It reproduces the prosperous scene of "Little Nanjing" in Wayaoping two thousand years ago, which is half poetic landscape and half ancient town fireworks. On the ancient street, gauze is hung, and red lanterns are dotted with simple blue-tiled eaves. The charm of the Ming and Qing small towns is vividly visible before your eyes.Chenzhou · 22.3 km from Yongxing
Mahuangqiu Grand Canyon

Mahuangqiu Grand Canyon is located in Chenzhou, Hunan, hidden among the Danxia mountains not far from the city center. The rock strata here were formed in the Late Cretaceous period and perfectly preserve the ancient lake sedimentary layers. The ochre-red cliffs, stretching for several kilometers, have a drop of nearly 300m and have been carved by seasonal streams over the years. The red rocks reflected in the valley streams create a rare Danxia canyon scene in southern Hunan. The most recognizable feature in the canyon is the combat-readiness road built in the 1960s—a passage carved by builders using steel drills and shovels into the sheer cliffs. Today, it is undulating with many curves, winding through valleys and streams. When self-driving or cycling through the mountains, the continuous red cliffs constantly change with your angle of movement. Stopping at the U-bend viewing platform to overlook the road and Danxia landscape in the same frame is a classic photo spot here, which is why many mountain-driving and photography enthusiasts call it the "Hunan version of Route 66." Walking deeper into the canyon, natural rock arch and cave landscapes like the Ming Dynasty Chuantan ruins and the Heitan karst cave unfold one after another. Climbing to Epozhai allows you to overlook the entire Danxia valley from the highest point. In the evening, the setting sun shines obliquely on the red rocks, creating distinct layers of light and shadow, making every photo look striking. There are relatively few tourists here, making it suitable for travelers who enjoy quiet, wild scenery and want to hike or cycle to relax. The Danxia area is almost completely exposed, so pay attention to sun protection and hydration in summer. Some road surfaces have gravel, so it is recommended to wear non-slip sports shoes. Follow the main road and do not take unofficial paths for a safer experience.Chenzhou · 20.5 km from Yongxing

Yongxing First Line Sky is located in Jinli Village, Bianjiang Street, Yongxing County, Chenzhou City. It serves as a core attraction of the Bian River scenic area and is one of the hundred scenic highlights of Hunan's Xiaoxiang region. Visitors can ride eco-friendly bamboo rafts along the Bian River, leisurely admiring the stunning scenery of emerald waters and red cliffs while experiencing the unique charm of the "hundred-mile Bian River, hundred-mile gallery." In recent years, Yongxing County has traced Xu Xiake's ancient trail, connecting First Line Sky with Longhua Mountain Park, thousand-year-old camphor trees, Anling Academy, and Shilangtan to create a premium Bian River landscape itinerary, establishing itself as a key eco-tourism destination for leisure and wellness in southern Hunan. Core wonders (Danxia landform): It measures 356 m in total length, approx. 50 m in height, 1.2 m at its widest point and only 0.2 m at the narrowest, with an average width of less than 0.4 m, requiring visitors to turn sideways and suck in their stomachs to pass through. The crimson danxia cliffs appear as if split by a divine axe, with slivers of sunlight filtering through the crevices. Dense moss carpets the rock walls while streams murmur softly, creating a cool and serene passage that offers an exhilarating sense of adventure. Highlights: The heavenly crack trail: A full hiking journey to experience the awe of "viewing the sky through narrow crevices," with a fun low-ceiling tunnel passage at the exit. Mount Tai's overwhelming majesty: A colossal danxia rock formation, imposing and magnificent, serves as the iconic attraction landmark. Observation deck: Reach the summit to overlook the emerald Bian River and vast red cliffs, where landscapes resemble a painting.Yongxing · 10 km from downtown

The scenic area boasts stunning natural beauty, with red rocks and green waters creating a breathtaking contrast. Rock formations like Meili Tan, Longjibei, and Chongtian Yunti showcase the area's incredible artistry. The service is also exceptional; the seating is perfectly chosen, making Gaoyiling a trustworthy destination.

A simple little village, the villagers are very nice and enthusiastic to introduce the attractions. You can take beautiful photos here if you choose the right angle. It will be better if you have a drone, but unfortunately my photography skills are average. The spring water is cool and sweet.

The scenery was beautiful! It was just too hot. Those with a bit more stamina can walk to the canyon and then back; the canyon is about 500 meters long and entirely a boardwalk over the water. We didn't buy tickets for the bamboo rafts, but instead bought tickets for a luxury cruise ship (the ship was very new, had air conditioning, and even offered a second-floor sightseeing experience). It also departed from Damianzhou Wharf, round trip to Wayaoping, for 100 yuan per person – incredibly good value!

The attraction is a bit small, but very unique. The bamboo rafts weave through the Danxia mountains, giving you a feeling of effortlessly navigating through countless peaks! On October 5th, we arrived at 8:30 am and didn't have to queue.

The scenery here is beautiful and worth visiting. However, the route instructions in the itinerary are not detailed enough, making it inconvenient for independent travelers with cars. I especially suggest adding benches for tourists to rest and wait at the area where you can watch the fishermen cast their nets.

Mahuangqiu is easy to climb, the scenery is beautiful, and it's completely free! Go early and bring an umbrella, you can easily enjoy the scenery of the sky and mountains. It will be more convenient to drive yourself. If you are tired of climbing, you can go to the nearby Longweiping to take a bamboo raft (20 per person, the master adds another 20, but unfortunately you can't slide by yourself) to relax. Enjoy two attractions in the morning

Driving from Changsha to Chenzhou, the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway passes through the Leiyang Cai Lun Bamboo Sea Scenic Area. I found it quickly after getting off the expressway! It's free for seniors over 65 and children. There are not many people in the scenic area, so I bought a ticket for 30 yuan and drove up the mountain. There were bamboo forests along the way. When I came to the viewing platform, I was shocked by the scene in front of me! I will be on the top of the mountain and see all the small mountains. It's worth the trip! The mountain breeze is blowing in the hot summer, and I really linger! The prices in the scenic area are also conscience! Although it's very sunny, it's worth it! I hope more people can know about this place! It's worth recommending!

During my trip to Hunan, I visited the Gaoyiling Scenic Area, where Stonehenge is one of the attractions. Entering the scenic area from the west gate seemed to bring me closer to Stonehenge. From a distance, Stonehenge looks similar to the one in England, also consisting of large, stacked stones. These stones are formed from weathered natural red sandstone, with varying shapes and arranged in a harmonious manner; some stand upright like pillars, while others are stacked to form gates, the tallest reaching about 15 meters.

The verdant mountains and clear waters are like stepping into a painting. The narrow, thrilling "One Line Sky" is certainly exciting! The price is reasonable, making it well worth a visit.
