There are several soaking pools near the entrance, and a swimming pool in the middle, so the water temperature isn't too cold. Further inside are tiered pools, which are great for taking photos. Only a few pools are a bit too hot for soaking. Overall, it's a good place to enjoy both hot springs and scenery.

M40***66There were very few people. I saw some students observing and recording the white-headed langurs, which felt a bit like an educational trip. The entire scenic area is on foot, but there are some winding paths through sugarcane fields with little shade, so it can get quite sunny on hot days. If you just want to see the monkeys, you can wait at the ticket office. When the monkeys come out, staff will take you there in electric carts. The staff at the scenic area are very attentive to whether you see the monkeys. When I tried to go in for a walk, they repeatedly reminded me that I might not see them if I went in now, that my ticket was non-refundable, and that if I didn't see them, I could come back and wait… Also, the timing of the monkey viewing is very important. Around 11 am and 3 or 4 pm are good times to see them. They rest for a long time in between, so you won't be able to see them. I was lucky enough to see the monkeys from Thumb Mountain come down to the fields to eat sweet potato leaves. The alpha male led a large group of his wives and children. Everyone held their breath watching them eat in the field. The little monkeys were so cute!

qdu***08The free ancient city is newly built and commercialized, but since it is free for you to come and play, it is better than those domestic ones that are enclosed and charge fees. It is recommended to come in the evening, the night view is several levels higher than the daytime, and there are performances if you catch the weekend.

Anonymous userWe wanted to see dolphins 🐬, so before the trip we checked the weather forecast and it predicted rain. We were prepared to treat it as just a speedboat trip if we didn't see any. We got off at Qinzhou Railway Station, and the scenic area was quite far, about an hour and a half drive away. There weren't many people at the scenic area that day, but many spots were taken by private boat operators. We wanted to choose a legitimate boat, so we waited for almost an hour before boarding. Luckily, we did see some; the camera captured a few glimpses of them, which made us very happy.

人在旅途$The sky is really blue. It was too hot the day we went, so we didn't play outside for long. It was great~ I picked up shells and conchs of all sizes on the beach, picked out the right size and put them in this grid. It's like a miniature ocean museum, both beautiful and meaningful~
