Finally, at 16:07, we reached the Golden Summit Area, only to find that the Taoist priest had locked the Golden Hall before 16:30. We felt incredibly helpless, having barely made it to the top. Thankfully, we were going to stay overnight on the Golden Summit, otherwise it would have been a real shame. I visited Shennongjia in December. Although it was the off-season and the scenery wasn't as stunning as in autumn and summer, I must say the Shennongjia Scenic Area was truly excellent. A 5-day, 6-attraction combo ticket for only 150 yuan was incredibly reasonable. The accommodations at Muyu and Dajiuhu were both good. The road to Shenlongding was icy and snowy, so I bought snow chains for the first time. I visited Shenlongtan, Guanmenshan, and Dajiuhu once each, but I visited Shenlongding three times because… it was simply too beautiful.
