How much is a 26-30 Railcard?

Can you buy a 26-30 Railcard when you're 30?
Yes, you can buy a 26-30 Railcard up to and including the day before your 31st birthday, and continue using it until its expiry date.
Can I get a 3-year 26-30 Railcard?
Unfortunately, the 26-30 Railcard is currently only available for a 1-year period.
What is the difference between the 26-30 Railcard and the 16-25 Railcard?
Other than the age groups they are available for, there are very few differences between these Railcards. They both offer 1/3 off the price of UK train tickets with identical restrictions for travel routes and times.
The only significant difference is that the 16‑25 Railcard is available in 1-year and 3-year versions, whereas the 26-30 Railcard is only available as a 1-year Railcard. Those with 26-30 Railcards also tend to save more on average (£258) in comparison to 16-25 Railcard holders (£192).
Can I renew my 26-30 Railcard?
You can easily renew your Railcard online!
- On the Trip.com app, go to "Account", select the settings icon in the top-right corner, and ensure that your country or region is set to the United Kingdom.
- Go to "Home" > "Trains" > "My Railcards".
- Select the option to renew your expired or nearly expired Railcard.
Can you renew your 26-30 Railcard when you're 30?
Yes, as long as you make the renewal while you're still eligible (i.e., before you turn 31), you can renew.
Using your 26-30 Railcard
Can I link my 26-30 Railcard to my Oyster card?
Simply take your Oyster card and Railcard to a ticket office at any Underground, Overground, or Elizabeth Line station and ask a member of staff to add your Railcard discount to your Oyster card. The discount will remain active on your Oyster card until your Railcard expires.
Can I use my 26-30 Railcard on season tickets?
No, the 26-30 Railcard cannot be used for discounts on any season tickets.
How do you use a 26-30 Railcard?
When booking, simply select the "Add Railcard" option and choose your 26-30 Railcard. Your discount will be applied immediately. To prove you own a Railcard, you must be able to show the Railcard in the app when traveling or buying tickets in person, or else you may be required to pay a full-price ticket and/or a penalty fare.
Can you use the 26-30 Railcard on the London Underground?
Yes, but only if you link it to a valid Oyster card (see above) or purchase an Off-Peak Day Travelcard. Off-Peak Day Travelcards are valid after 9:30 AM on weekdays and at any time on weekends and bank holidays. Railcard discounts on London Travelcards are usually only available when the ticket is bought as part of a National Rail journey from outside London Zones 1-9.
Does the 26-30 Railcard work during peak times?
Yes - but with a caveat: for journeys starting Monday–Friday between 4:30 AM and 9:59 AM, there is a minimum fare of £12. This does not apply on bank holidays.
Can anyone else use my 26-30 Railcard?
No, the Railcard is personal to you. Only the named cardholder can use it for discounted tickets. If you are caught sharing a 26-30 Railcard, you may have to pay a penalty fare.
Where can you use a 26-30 Railcard?
The Railcard applies to most standard and first-class rail fares (Advance, Anytime, Off-Peak) across Great Britain on participating services - it is not restricted by region.
Do digital 26-30 Railcards work on older iPhone models?

Absolutely - your 26-30 Railcard is available across all UK train services and providers.
