Can I buy a Senior Railcard at the station?
Yes. If you prefer holding a physical Railcard, you can buy one at most staffed stations with a ticket office.
How much is a Senior Railcard for a couple?
There is no Senior Railcard that can be used for 2 people traveling together. The cost would be that of 2 Railcards (£90 for 2 1-year Railcards, £160 for 2 3-year Railcards). That being said, if you have a regular travel partner, you should consider the Two Together Railcard. The Two Together Railcard offers 1/3 off train fares for 2 adults (aged 16+) who travel as a pair. With the Two Together Railcard, you only need to buy 1 Railcard, but you both get a discount when you travel together.

Yes, you can use your Senior Railcard before 10 AM on weekdays, but it depends on where you are traveling. The restriction only applies to morning peak journeys that are fully inside the London and South East Network Railcard area, of which you can see a map here. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, there are no time restrictions.Can I use my Senior Railcard on Eurostar?
No, you cannot use a Senior Railcard for a discounted Eurostar ticket.
Can I show my Railcard on my phone?
Yes, your digital Senior Railcard will be stored on your Trip.com app on your phone. This means it's always on hand in case a ticket inspector asks to see it.
Can I put my Railcard on my contactless card?
No, there is currently no way to link a Railcard to a contactless card.
What are the restrictions on a Senior Railcard?
The main restriction for a Senior Railcard is that it is invalid for journeys between two stations within the London and South East area during morning peak times on weekdays (excluding public holidays). Additionally, the discount cannot be applied to Season tickets, including Travelcard Season tickets, or Eurostar tickets.
Can I use a Senior Railcard on the London Underground?
No, you cannot use a Senior Railcard for most London Underground tickets, but you can use it for a 1/3 discount on Off Peak pay-as-you-go (PAYG) fares if you have your Railcard discount loaded onto a registered Oyster card. You can also get a 1/3 discount on a 1-day off-peak Travelcard, which covers journeys made across London and can include the Tube, subject to a minimum fare of £23.60.
