The town of Admont is located in the Enns Valley under the Austrian Alps. We are just a glimpse of the 11th-century Admont Benedictine Abbey, once the center of medieval culture. The first thing that catches the eye is the towering Gothic church spire. In 1865, a fire broke out in Admont, and the church that was seen now was rebuilt after 1866. The monastery covers a large area and there are many tall old trees in the garden. The most glorious of the Admont Abbey is the Abbey Library. This library, built in the second half of the eighteenth century, is a model of Rococo style. The 70-meter-long main hall, the dome is decorated with beautiful murals, and the statues in the hall symbolize the various meanings of the Catholic Church. The most famous ones are the "final four things" of the Catholic Church: death, final judgment, heaven and hell. There are 1,400 hand-written rare books and 150,000 books in the library. Although the collections here are extremely precious, for tourists, the gorgeous decoration seems to be more obsessive, and it is the most beautiful in the world. Monastery library. Through the long corridor, push open the inconspicuous door, the classical and gorgeous library is stunningly debut! The day we went to the monastery fire memorial day, everyone is free to enter the ticket, tourists with cameras need to pay the same as the weekdays, pay attention to the flash.
