For a state with such great anthropology, this museum is bleak and just not worth a visit.

New Mexico is a treasure of anthropological history, but this museum is bleak. Educational value is minor and not worth the time. Sorry Maxwell Museum, yawn.

    Free & worth it

Maxwell Museum is located in the University of New Mexico. Patrons get to see wolf skins, Pueblo lifestyle, pottery, ancient tools, jewelries, etc. Worth it.
