Life advice: When you visit Beijing, you must go to the Temple of Heaven, which is four times larger than the Forbidden City
After the recovery of tourism, the Temple of Heaven is crowded every day. How to avoid the crowd and take great photos? I have found some clever 📷 positions and compositions, and I will share them all with you at once! 👇
🗺️Tour route: Enter from the East Gate ➡️ Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests ➡️ Echo Wall ➡️ Circular Mound ➡️ Exit from the South Gate.
♥️For your convenience, the following 📷 positions are arranged in the order of the tour:
❶The pine and cypress path at the East Gate, take a photo at the entrance of the path towards the end of the path, you can get a fun inverted triangle composition;
❷After entering the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, go to the ancient gate on the north side first, that is, the south gate of the Imperial Heaven Hall. Take photos here when there are few people. If you can't avoid the crowd when you enter the park late, take several photos at a fixed position for post-production synthesis, wide-angle lens is better;
❸There are too many people in front of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Use the east/west side halls as the foreground, lean on the pillars or sit on the side and take photos towards the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Blur the people in the distance in post-production;
❹Find the red wall next to the Prayer Gate on the side of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. There are much fewer people here. Stand by the wall, the red wall and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests under the blue sky are particularly photogenic;
❺A unobtrusive building next to the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the red wall, blue tiles and roof ridge beasts are very beautiful, you can stand at the end of the railing to take photos;
❻Looking up at the sky under the eaves of the west side hall, there is a surprise. The eaves corner and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests are directly opposite, very artistic;
❼Take a photo from the bottom of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the railing blocks the crowd, lean on the railing, and the three-layer blue roof of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests are also very photogenic;
❽When you leave the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, you can use the hollows of the railings and the door gaps to block the crowd, frame the composition, and need a medium-long focus lens;
❾After leaving the door, you can also avoid the crowd and take photos of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests on the right. It's good to take photos of the building or people;
❶⓪The composition at the entrance of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is very unique. Tourists enter and exit from the side doors on both sides. The middle door is generally not opened, so there are no people here. Stand in front of the red door, the photographer goes down the steps and uses a telephoto lens to take photos;
❶①Walk towards the west gate of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, you will see the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests inside the wall between the two trees on the lawn, another excellent new position with no people;
❶②After leaving the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, walk to the Chengzhen Gate on the way to the Echo Wall, and take a photo of the Imperial Vault of Heaven in the door frame.

📌Photo Tips:
🔹The weather is very important if you want to take good photos. Choose a sunny day, blue sky, red wall and glazed tiles, the photos are no less than the Forbidden City;
🔹If you can't get up early and want to take photos of the empty Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, you can visit in reverse, put the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests at the end, and take photos quickly when clearing the field;
🔹It's very large inside, it's quite tiring, remember to wear comfortable shoes;
🔹Wearing Hanfu, national style, horse face skirt and other clothes to take photos will be more matching;
🔹The night view of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is also very unique. The lights are only on every Friday and Saturday and some holidays, don't miss it.

Checking out the Temple of Heaven in China felt like going back in time. The beautiful architecture and peaceful park were a welcome escape from the city hustle. Watching locals practice Tai Chi added to the cultural vibe. Climbing up the Circular Mound Altar, I got some awesome views, making me appreciate China's history even more.
We misunderstood the closing hour at Tiantan so ended up did not get to go inside the tower inside. However, from the inner park, we could still see Tiantan very clearly and could take nice photo. Sunset made Tiantan looks more stunning.
Good-looking is good-looking, it is too big to walk for a long time, the queue is very long, there are many people, it is hot, the inside is not able to enter, only outside to visit, it is good to take the family to see, it feels like a big park built in
I Love the building here. It's very overwhelming looking at the Temple of Heaven. Reasons to Recommend: You've just gotta come here and see it live in front of you. 😍
Thought the temple only has the central structure and allocated 2h for visit. Ended up spending an entire day exploring the entire park facilities, garden and snapping the temple from different angles
went there with my dad for holiday and it was indeed beautiful! less people during that time and it was good for taking pics.
