Lovely Ruin
My husband and I visited Clifden Castle. The ruin is located just outside of the town of Clifden at the beginning of the Sky road. The is a small parking area near the sign for the castle. You will ...
Simple find
When in west Galway this modernist castle is worth the visit. The parking area outside is rather small , but the walk to the castle is pleasant

Let people in. It is either able to be visited or not. Grumpy older man on a motor bike told us we couldn’t be there.

We visit the castle we take a while to find, although it is actually easy to see with the entrance and its arc simulating the wall of a fort.
In ruins
It is a castle that is very deteriorated ...We haven't seen the grace and it's hard to find even though it looks easy from Sky Road.
