The detail in the Memorial is EXQUISITE!! This is in the Memorial Park with other memorials; however, this is the BEST ONE!!!
Nice memorial to War Dogs
In Veteran's Memorial Park, walking distance from Gervais Street. Very detailed statue of a soldier and his war dog.
Memorial Park
A few blocks from Main Street, this nicely landscaped park contains memorials to the Holocaust, Pearl Harbor, Korean War, Vietnam, war dogs and other events worth honoring.
Sketchy Area
We didn't even get to see the War Dog Memorial close up, only from the car due to the fact that this tiny park is apparently favored by homeless people. We got there in the evening but with plenty of ...
Worth a quick trip
If your in memorial park you must visit the war dog memorial. The sculpture is full of detail and larger then life. A nice reminder that mans best friend will always be by your side no matter what.
