Lam Ty Ni Pagoda

It takes only ten minutes to walk from the summer palace. There are many beautiful potted plants and a small bamboo forest. It is rare for tourists and very quiet. There is a small archway that looks a bit old. It takes about ten minutes to visit. The place is very small and walks along a tilted path to the door and rings the doorbell. The door opened, we were encouraged to enter, we visited the old little temple, and then saw Thay Vien Thuc in his studio/showroom, he showed us his work, explained his work, and played some music for us. I bought a few books he signed and some CDs of his music, he also kept your address and could go if he wanted to visit one day. He was so charming and interesting and it was a truly memorable experience.

Walk along a sloping path to the old temple, which is not a pagoda but a small temple building. About ten minutes walk from Crazy House, along the main road under the ramp of the ring road, the updated coloured building looks like a lodging area.

Visit the Lam Ty Ni Pagoda or so-called ‘Mad Monk Temple’ to see for yourself.Some visitors find his operation a bit odd and un-Zen like, however others help spread the good word around. Many tour companies now include this place in their Dalat tour program.

Lam Ty Ni Pagoda is one of the stranger attractions that you are likely to encounter on your visit to this mountain city. This is the home of Mr Thay Vien Thuc, a strange and remarkable monk. Often known as the crazy monk.

Lam Ty Ni Pagoda is a monastery, not very big, small, but the environment is very good, in addition to burning incense and worshiping Buddha, there are many art works to enjoy, all created by monks in the temple, very chic.
