Amazing graveyard and mausoleum
The tombstones here are huge amazing edifices. Take time to read the inscriptions and trades. Burn’s mausoleum if definitely worth a visit as part of a tour around Dumfries.
The church doesn't look much from outside but when you enter it is magnificent! Not always open so worth checking ahead of visit if you want to look inside. Volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeab...
Dumfries is a decent stop over for a night. Maybe 2. We found it worn and tired. Our accommodations were nice and very comfortable. But it's a one and done deal.
We visited here on a very wet day in September. The mausoleum is beautiful, in the back of the churchyard. It is very well maintained and recently refurbished. A most fitting tribute to a Rabbie Burns...

OK stay in Dumfries
