Memorial monument on the cliff
A monument has been set up where the daughter of a feudal lord of this place was killed by the townspeople. The monument was small, we saw the Pacific Ocean in front of the monument. The scenery was g...
It is located along National Highway 123 near Gyokawa Island Station, but it was difficult to understand. On the day I went, the wind was strong and the cliff height was 20 m, but the waves of the sea flew from 20m below and were powerful.
There is a gravel space where about 5 cars can be parked from Gyokawa Island Station along National Highway 128 to Tateyama and Kamogawa in the direction of 500 m. There is also a signboard for "Hotel Gyokawa", but it seems that it is not open. If you park in this parking lot and walk toward the sea about 200 ~ 300 m, you will arrive at Osenkorogashi. The location is a dead end cliff at the tip of a narrow road, so it doesn't look like a large space or an observatory. "Osenkorogashi" is at the west end of Katsuura City or ...
It's a nice place with a nice view, but it's a place of sad stories. It was a unique atmosphere! !!

It is commonly known as a cliff of about 4km just ahead of Gyokawa Island. There is an entrance a little beside National Highway 128. You can only go to the front of the entrance by car, so you can reach this place by walking about 200 meters from the middle. The scenery is wonderful because it is on a cliff about 20 meters high. In a very quiet place, I can only hear the sound of the waves and wind. "Osenkorogashi" is a ... trying to convert a greedy and insane father who suffers the villagers.
I stayed at an inn near March last year. I was able to talk about old times. I thought the road was narrow in a place that was difficult to understand.
