An oasis in the centre of Liverpool. Beautiful garden with classic violin soundtrack. Coffee is good and the vibe even better.
When you’re tired of pounding the pavements of Liverpool One and your soul is craving a little elegance, the bistro is the perfect place to unwind over a light lunch or a coffee. Once a chapel on the upper floor, there are views to the courtyards front and back, a high ceiling and the tallest radiators in heatingdom. Menu rather limited but what they do they do very well. The coronation chicken sandwich and the chocolate brownie were faultless, the latte nice and smooth. All this and the oldest building in central Liverpool. Fab!
Bluecoats is situated in the centre of Liverpool. It has an attractive facade, a internal courtyard with plenty of shaded tables and seating which provides a quiet haven within a few yards of Liverpool's vibrant shopping areas. It has meeting rooms, a lecture theatre, and a few craft shops. The bistro provides freshly cooked, uncomplicated but tasty dishes - sandwiches, quiches, etc. The quiet surroundings make this a pleasant change to the many fast food and themed restaurants (Mexican, Spanish etc) that abound in the area.
I love the bluecoat café! Its a really gem hidden away from the main hustle and bustle of Liverpool. They always have great cakes and sandwiches on offer and you are seated on god old fashioned wooden tables and chairs with plenty of space to spread out. There is free Wi-Fi so I often have colleague and client meetings here as its such a good location and never a problem to get a table. The staff are helpful and charming!! Love it!!
