Shoe Museum of Marikina

The Marikina Shoe Museum is the first and only shoe museum in the Philippines. Entering the museum, thousands of pairs of shoes, thousands of shoe molds and a high-top leather shoe nearly 2 meters high are presented in front of you. The entire shoe museum is divided into two floors. The first floor is mainly a shoe display area, which includes 800 pairs of shoes donated by the former first lady of the Philippines, Imelda. Among them are both foreign luxury leather shoes and locally produced Philippine sandals. There are also shoes donated by successive Philippine presidents, some senators or politicians, mayors of Marikina, ambassadors and some foreign heads of state. The second floor of the museum mainly displays the early development history of Marikina's shoe industry, early shoe-making equipment, shoe workshops and some entries in recent shoe industry design competitions.
