◾️Ashoka Temple, an ancient temple from the Jin Dynasty, is located at the foot of Mount Taibai under the peak of Huading. 1. If you happen to be there around noon (11:00~13:00), there is free vegetarian food provided at the monastery's dining hall. Remember to speak softly while eating.
2. Buy a pack of small cookies at the temple entrance to feed the koi in the pond in front of the first main hall, the Heavenly King Hall.
3. To the right of the main gate of the Heavenly King Hall, there are free incense sticks (9 sticks per person) available. You can go around the three main halls clockwise and light three sticks at each.
4. The last hall behind the Heavenly King Hall is the Relic Hall, which enshrines the relics of Sakyamuni. It is said to be the only place in the country with these relics, so don't miss it.
4. You can bring your own corn dregs to feed the pigeons in the large square in front of the Heavenly King Hall; just raise your arms and wait for the pigeons to come and feed.
