Melvern Lake near Lyndon, KS is a hidden gem for fall bass. Most go there for crappie and catfish, but the population of small mouth was evident on 8 September 2019.
Wow- they have quite the volunteer force at this campground and it shows. Perennials planted by the signage. A recent "retired" retired volunteer had planted hundreds of native oak trees a few years...
