In 1937, the Battle of Shanghai broke out and the Japanese army attacked Shanghai. In this battle, the Sihang Warehouse became the place where the Chinese army and the Japanese army fought fiercely. The officers and soldiers of the 1st Battalion of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the Kuomintang government army held on to the Sihang Warehouse for four days and four nights, repelling multiple attacks by the Japanese army. This defense battle was called the "Battle of Sihang Warehouse" and became an important battle in the Battle of Shanghai. In the mid-1990s, the Sihang Warehouse was gradually converted into commercial markets and office functions. In 2014, more than 4,000 square meters of space were converted into the "Sihang Warehouse Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall" to commemorate the history of the Battle of Shanghai and the Battle of Defense. Today, as a historical site and cultural attraction, the Sihang Warehouse attracts many tourists to visit and learn about its rich historical background.
The Sihang Warehouse in Shanghai records the heroic deeds of the Chinese military and civilians in resisting the invasion of Japanese imperialism nearly a hundred years ago! It was put on the screen not long ago, allowing us to feel that period of history more deeply!
Shanghai Sixing Warehouse Memorial Hall is on No. 21 Guangfu Road (near Jinyuan Road). The memorial hall is basically displayed with the famous "Four Line Warehouse Defense War" between China and foreign countries. It respects history and truly reflects the 88th Division 262nd Brigade of the Chinese Army during the postwar period of the August 1, 1937, under the banner of the National United Front of the Resistance against Japan. More than 420 officers and soldiers of the 1 battalion of the 542 regiment (called 800 for the confusing enemy), were ordered to cling to the senses of the heroic resistance of the four-line warehouse, and reproduced the heroic image of the "800 strong men" represented by Xie Jinyuan, giving us a vivid patriotic education class, which is worth learning from future generations. Cherish today's hard-won happiness. Because of the screening of the movie "800", there are many tourists from all over the country, so at least three days in advance to make an appointment. It is convenient to come here. Metro Lines 8, 10 and 12 can be reached directly.
Teacher Xia explained wonderfully, the child listened very seriously, full of harvest!
Last year in Shanghai, I met officers from New China to visit the four-line warehouse and took this photo, which was of great significance. After watching the movie "Gossip" today, several tears, this is the real Chinese film, and it is also the movie that every Chinese should go to see, and it is the history that every Chinese remembers: 1937, the 88th Division, the four-line warehouse, Suzhou River is the boundary, half paradise, half hell!
