It is a monument that you pass by while strolling around here. However, if you are not interested, you will not stop. So was I myself.

    Mr. qishanyi memorial

    Original Text

I went to January 2018. Monuments are built here and there on Taketomi Island, and this monument to Takeshi Sakiyama is one of them. I've seen it many times so far, but this time I took a closer look. Tsuyoshi Sakiyama is said to have loved Taketomi Island.

    Zhufu Island の Monument

    Original Text

A monument in the Taketomi Island village. There are giant trees around and it has a nice atmosphere. I passed many times when I went around Taketomi Island by bicycle. If you leave a little, you will find fireflies.

    A wonderful teacher's stone monument.

    Original Text

Mr. Sakiyama seems to have studied under Taketomi Island with a deep love, and you can see a stone monument when you pass near the post office in the village. He is a teacher who contributed to medical care. The trees were overgrown and the roots were thick, so it was a sight to feel the history.
