Great views
Staying nearby for a few days. As weather was mixed, we decided to do the Vartry trails in three bits (as weather permitted). Great pretty much flat surface, great scenery / views and clear signage. ...
Ok for a short walk !
Fine if you're just looking for a short walk . The surroundings are nice enough but nothing remarkable . Nice to see the reservoir .
Pretty views
Nice hour and a half flat walk around the reservoir. Plenty of spots for bramble picking along the way and popular for the dog walkers. There wasn’t any car park so we parked in nearby round wood and...
Around in circles
The double loop walk is very doable , car parking facilities are limited , great views as you circle the two lakes .
A hidden water place
It began its built in early 1860s. It has many trails and a large water place. Dam has good structured and deep wood paths for pleasant walks.
