Due to circumstances, I went to Wuhan for a special forces-style day trip. Although it's not my first time in Wuhan, there are many places I haven't been to, such as the old streets of Hankou, Hankou River Beach, and Qingchuan Pavilion. Early in the morning at 6 o'clock, I rode a shared bicycle to the pedestrian street of Lihuangpi Road. There were few people at this time in the usually crowded Bagong House, Orthodox Church, and the former site of the '87 Conference (Figures 1-4), which was particularly suitable for taking pictures. Then I came to Yanjiang Avenue, which was also very quiet with few pedestrians. I checked in at Jianghaiguan, Soong Ching Ling's former residence, and the former site of HSBC Bank (Figures 5-7). At more than 9 o'clock, I took the subway line 2 to line 5 to the Yellow Crane Tower scenic area (Figures 8-10). Since it was my second visit, and the main building was backlit, I just revisited the old place and took a few random shots. In the afternoon, I came to Qingchuan Pavilion, one of the three famous attractions in Wuhan (Yellow Crane Tower, Qingchuan Pavilion, and Guqin Platform). As it was my first visit, I naturally had to take a good look around. From the second floor, I could see the beautiful scenery around, with the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and the Yellow Crane Tower on the opposite bank clearly visible (Figures 11-15). Then I hurriedly went to another famous attraction, Guqin Platform. Unfortunately, it was under renovation and temporarily closed, so I could only take a leisurely walk around Yue Lake. The newly built theater, concert hall, and art museum along the way, each with a different style, also had good viewing value (Figures 16-17). After dark, I came to Hankou River Beach and enjoyed the beautiful night view of both banks of the Yangtze River (Figures 18-20). After a busy day of sightseeing, I generally felt that Wuhan's public transportation is very developed. There are not many people on the subway or bus on weekdays, and with shared bicycles, it is very convenient to go to various attractions, which is more suitable for independent travel. In addition, except for the Yellow Crane Tower, these attractions are all free.

Accommodation can be found on the pedestrian street, and during holidays, consider staying near Wuchang or subway stations as Wuhan is quite large, and the main mode of transportation is the subway. On the first morning, head to the Gude Temple, where admission is now free. The Gothic-style temple is particularly suitable for photography. For lunch, arrange for some authentic Wuhan cuisine on Jianghan Road pedestrian street, then set off for the Wuhan Hankou Art Gallery. Upon arriving at the gallery, first take a photo with the 'City Bubble,' as the artistic atmosphere here is quite special. The avant-garde and diversity of the side exhibitions are its charm. In 2015, it was selected as the second batch of national key art galleries, harmoniously coexisting with modern life and the old concession buildings. After leaving, not far away is Lanling Road, where you can check in at Liu Yihu's lotus root powder shop, closely followed by Ni Huangpi Road, a must-visit place for artistic youth, perfect for taking photos. Then take a bus to Qingchuan Pavilion, where admission is free. From the top floor, you can see the Yellow Crane Tower and the adjacent Yangtze River Bridge. Afterwards, you can visit the opposite Gui Mountain Park to see the famous Turtle Mountain TV Tower, check in above the Butterfly Spring to frame the past and present, and then go to Wansong Garden to taste the local snacks. In the evening, visit Hankou River Beach to enjoy the light show on both sides of the Yangtze River. The next morning, go to Lingbo Gate to watch the sunrise, making sure to check the weather forecast in advance. After the sunrise, experience the Wuhan breakfast culture on Liangdao Street, where you must try the shaomai, fried dough, and hot dry noodles. Right next door is the Tanhua Lin Big Cat Graffiti Wall, just across from the subway entrance. Next, take the subway to the Hubei Provincial Museum, but be sure to arrive early to queue up for the King Goujian sword, as there are many people. Don't miss the Zenghou Yi chime bells either. For lunch, head to Guanggu Square, where the distinctive European-style street is also worth a visit. In the afternoon, check in at the East Lake Mo Mountain Scenic Area to enjoy the romantic 'Eye of East Lake.' If the weather is good, be sure to take the Mo Mountain cable car, ride the macaron-colored cable car, and enjoy the romantic hot air balloon and East Lake Beach, loved by both adults and children. Then head to Wuhan Guan to experience the 1.5 yuan Yangtze River ferry. It is recommended to take the ferry on weekdays when it is not too crowded. After disembarking, you can stroll around Hubu Alley.

The Qingchuan Pavilion on the Turtle Mountain in Hanyang, standing on the bank of the Yangtze River, faces the Yellow Crane Tower on the opposite bank, and they are listed as the 'Three Holy Landscapes of Chu' together with the Ancient Zither Platform. The Qingchuan Pavilion was built in the Ming Dynasty, and the existing building was rebuilt in the 1980s based on historical photos. Standing on this pavilion, letting the river breeze blow on your face, overlooking the river view, is indeed a great pleasure in the world. The name of Qingchuan Pavilion comes from the poem by Cui Hao, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, 'The clear river is full of Hanyang trees, and the fragrant grass is full of parrot islands'.
